  • yeh but wireless printer is worth £50 so plus £36 savings per month thats a total £86 saved (if you want the printer that is), which is a substantial saving.

    It's just another option.

  • Update:

The order for option2 broadband plus bt vision plus homehub and phone for 14.99/ 12 mth contract has not happened.

The equipment was due to be delivered today and wasn't and when I rang they said (after nearly 2 hrs on the phone) there was a mistake and I should have been told the phone was £50 extra (and nothing at all had been ordered)

So I cancelled and got the mac code and have gone with SKY See, Speak and Surf for £31 a month (with unlimited phone, connect broadband and 6 tv packages) also have to pay BT £10.50 a month for line rental (option 1) and one-off fee of £30 set-up.

BTW once I get the start date do I have to ring BT myself to downgrade to option1 phone? I gather Sky does the business with the broadband.
  • BT are just as incompetent as everyone else but they charge more....
  • Very true!!
  • bonzer!, phoned up, mentioned sky and she literally shouted at me that they'd do me option 3 for £19.99, free BT-Vision and a second free home-hub and internet phone, and only a 6 month contract.

Now to phone sky and play them off against BT, try and wangle a free HD box :-)
  • Our current BT broadband deal of £17.99 a month is due to run out in Jan 08 and have had a few letters and emails to say if we renew for 12 months we can get £3 off the monthly rental. Was considering going to Sky as £5 a month is far better but not read any good reviews.

Is there any way to get BT to offer a more competitive deal?

    Thanks
    Kirstie
  • got my wireless printer 2 days after ordering on the website, so this with £3/month saving means im a happy munkee with my deal. Can't grumble really with this from BT. Quick and no hassle. Others prob find better cheaper deals, but a saving of £86 quid over a year is good to me.

Thanks to this post I've just renewed my contract with BT for another 12 months at 19.99 for option 3 and a free BT vision box.

    Thanks!
