Yes they do say they are busy but when you see other peoples transfers already completed when they started a week or so after yours it is annoying/worrying when there is no sign of mine being done, especially when it started weeks ago Anyway my old ISA balance has been added to my available balance but not my actual balance so hopefully it will be fully completed soon.

Seems the "Nationwide transferrers" could be on for a bit of a mess here.

I have just noticed that a second £100 has vanished from my Nationwide ISA. The balance is reduced by that second £100, but there's no detailed transaction entry to explain where it went. I am pretty certain that this "withdrawal" happened today.

My Leeds balance is still £100, though it might well be that Leeds requested the transfer a second time.

For now, I have filed a complaint with Nationwide, with a request for immediate correction of my balance, and an explanation as to how £100 can just vanish without even a transaction on the account, not to talk about authorisation by myself.

Got a feeling this could end in some protracted debates with both Nationwide and Leeds. Oh joy.

Update: Wednesday this week Nationwide have finally acknowledged they have my complaint. Today I had a letter from Leeds thanking me for my transfer request and confirming they had received a cheque for £100 from Nationwide. My Leeds balance is now £200, so my books balance again - - but I'd still like to know who processed the transfer request twice. Presently, my money is on Leeds but who knows.

On closer examination, it appears Leeds owe my 10 days of interest on that second £100, too because the money left Nationwide on April 30 and they are meant to pay interest from the day the money left my old ISA. Pleased it's only £100.....

I feel you could be correct.

They do seem to be dragging their heels on mine and OH transfers too. We'll be taking great interest (no pun intended) that the deposit is backdated to when it left the NW accounts (OH is considerably more than my £100).

There is no wonder they pulled this account before they got even more swamped!

Same thing has happened with my husband despite Nationwide telephoning him last week to apologise and promising to sort out with no lose of interest. They blamed Leeds BS for the error but I blame them too as they should have noticed a transfer had already been done. He forgot about the difference in dates between the cheque being sent and received will send Leeds BS another secure complaint. I know it is only £100 but I would like to check their competency before transferring higher amounts.

    Yes I agree.

Mind you, may be they have a cunning plan to appear as incompetent as they can get away with, in order to discourage a mass-influx of money come October.

Update here - £100 now showing in LBS. It left my NW account on the 24th and had been backdated on the LBS to this date.

Also (as someone earlier in the thread stated) the day prior to the balance showing on the LBS, the website showed a balance £0 - and available to withdraw £99. i.e. For anyone still waiting this may give you a days indication that the funds are on the their way.

My husband's Leeds BS account shows £200 balance available to withdraw £99 been like that for a few days. No sign of the £100 going back to Nationwide BS.

The fog surrounding my vanished £100 is slowly lifting.

Nationwide have received a second request from Leeds, with the identical transfer request (Nationwide receive an image of the actual transfer form). They said they should not have processed it a second time, even if the root cause lies with Leeds. Nationwide are now in the process of recalling the second £100, and promise to put it back into my Nationwide ISA with no loss of interest.

I also learnt that Leeds sent Nationwide a transfer request form for my ISA for £5,640. Nationwide did not process this request since the form wasn't - - - surprise surprise - - - - signed by me. Nationwide will mail me a copy of that transfer request.

Nationwide also tell me that I am not only not the only one for whom a second £100 had been transferred on Leeds' request - - they also had those unsigned £5,640 forms for more than just me!

Am still waiting to hear anything from Leeds on the matter. But it's pretty clear that they need to be watched.

    Gees - thats appalling.

How confident that this will still be a route in Oct - and more fundamentally would you wish it be? I'll ask again in Sep when you have hopefully been 'squared up' by LBS!
