I'm not expecting there to be any better rates around in November (for the amount I have in Nationwide Flexclusive) so I'll probably give it a go.

After all the fuss opening this account and not managing to open one for my husband, thought things had settled down. Now today they keep asking me for a password with eleven digits when my password is only ten.
Hopefully, the system will reset tomorrow and ask me for the correct one.
Do wish I had stayed with my old provider!

Wohayyy, my stray £100 is back in my Nationwide ISA. Looks all ok now - credited on the same day it had vanished, and the sum for the total 2013/14 payments is still £5,760 (so HMRC won't come after me for overpaying).

Hope the others affected in the same way will also have their money back to where it belongs.

My husband's £100 arrived back in his Nationwide ISA last week. Nationwide have come out of this the best. They kept ringing him to let him know what was happening, gave him what I thought was generous compensation, considering only £100 was involved. Rang him again last week to say that the £100 was back in his account and had been backdated to the date it was withdrawn. Leeds only rang him yesterday to say the cheque had been sent back, no offer of compo though. Seriously worried about moving in October as they are not as easy to contact as Nationwide. Plus they don't have the guarantee that Nationwide gives that they will backdate interest to date of application.

    good result, typistretired.

I would still be happy in principle to use Leeds, even though they might need speaking to about complying with the rules. But whether I will really do so in October depends on other factors - - I might just move the lot into my S&S ISA.

This is still open for transfers in I assume.

Their transfer form doesn't have a specified date option. Is there anyway to specify a date I want funds pulled.

I'm hoping to transfer from the Nationwide Online ISA issue 3 which expires 30th September.

Do I just send the form 1 week before the end of the month.
  • Other members have tried to move their isa into this account which they had opened in April and have submitted a transfer application but have been told the isa is now closed and no more transfers are allowed.

Well that's rough. Not many allowing transfers now without strings by the looks.

Will have to pull into instant access savings accounts by the looks.

This repression is good aint it.
  • Nothing to stop you submitting a transfer request to see how you get on but I would do it this week and state on the form you do not want it moved until the interest drops on 30th September. I am applying to move mine to the Coventry BS reward account 2.50% as I have an old isa with them. Difference of £5 per year on each £10,000.

Will post tonight. Not bothered if they pull it now. The loss of interest for 3 weeks won't be much.

Seen the Coventry one. They all have strings now though even Nationwide do. Desperate times to be a saver.
