Does anyone know if I have to wait for the transfer of last years ISA to complete before I can start putting away this years allowance? I have a grand in my account that is destined for the ISA and want to move it soon so that I get the best return on the ISA, and more importantly so I don't spend it!

No you do not need to wait until your isa is transferred from your previous provider so get that money moved today. Shame you could have moved as soon as you had your account opening details. I am presuming that this grand is not in an isa just an ordinary account.

Thanks. I didn't have the grand when I opened the accound (work bonus this pay day). Now I just need to dig out those details for sending money to the Leeds ISA.

Well after the email yesterday saying they was waiting on documents and the phone call after where the operator didn't know anything and promised to call back but didn't. I get the confirmation letter today saying the account is now open.

Should be fun transferring at a later date. That's assuming they don't lock it.

It seems to take a few days before the transfer shows. In my case, the money left my old ISA on the 25th of last month and it is finally showing in my Leeds account today (I have been checking daily!) They have backdated the receipt to 25 April.

My transfer left my old account over two weeks ago and still hasn't arrived. I thought they had 15 days but I can't get anywhere on the phone.

Same here. Mine left on the 16th April and I'm having no success getting an answer from Leeds about it. Not happy.

gosh glad i didnt move my isa to leeds bs! I moved to santander and it was like 4 days and everything was done and dusted!

Thats 15 working days i.e. 21 days in total and its a guideline isnt it?

Isnt there a big splash on their website saying they are busy? I bet they get well cheesed off wasting more of their times answering questions like this.

By the way am in the same position.
