  • Yes, same here. Getting worried. The money came out of my old ISA provider on 16th April and still has not appeared with Leeds.

Don't worry, folks. You will get interest from your old provider until the date of transfer, and you will get interest from the Leeds from the same date.

Should Leeds take more than 15 working days [from when they received your transfer request] to complete the transfer, they will have to pay you interest from working day 16 anyway.

So you can't lose, you just might have a bit of hassle monitoring/recalling it all, but applying patience is probably the best plan.

Well after 2 weeks waiting in the queue received an email saying that didn't have the required documents to open the account. Didn't state which documents. Called them to ask which documents and they said the department was closed and they would call me back after 9am.

No call as yet, but the documents was stamped by their local branch and I even posted 2 to verify my identity and 1 for my address.

Thanks :) It's my first ISA transfer, so I'm just fretting! I'm waiting on an email reply from them to let me know what's going on.

And thanks to those who are waiting like me...good to know we are not alone!
It's taken me a lifetime to start looking after my money and now I'm addicted to doing it! :cool2:

Seems the "Nationwide transferrers" could be on for a bit of a mess here.

I have just noticed that a second £100 has vanished from my Nationwide ISA. The balance is reduced by that second £100, but there's no detailed transaction entry to explain where it went. I am pretty certain that this "withdrawal" happened today.

My Leeds balance is still £100, though it might well be that Leeds requested the transfer a second time.

For now, I have filed a complaint with Nationwide, with a request for immediate correction of my balance, and an explanation as to how £100 can just vanish without even a transaction on the account, not to talk about authorisation by myself.

Got a feeling this could end in some protracted debates with both Nationwide and Leeds. Oh joy.

Im trying to open a new isa, they e-mailed on 16th saying : I confirm that if we have been able to verify your identification electronically your account will be opened and interest will be backdated to the original date of receipt of signed application into the Society.
Then on 30th e-mail saying :Unfortunately, as yet we do not appear to have received the required documentation to allow us to complete the activation of your account. Until we receive this information any funds transferred electronically may be returned.
    What documentation????

Same thing has happened on my husband's isa with Nationwide it went out on the 30th April another £100 counter cheque. No other cheque has gone out of my isa yet keeping an eye on it. He has sent a secure message to both Nationwide and Leeds telling them to correct without loss of any interest.

I have the message "AWAITING COMPLETION OF YOUR ISA TRANSFER REQUEST" when I log in. I filled in the forms to transfer my Northern Rock / Virgin Money ISA to the new Leeds account.

Does anyone know if I have to wait for the transfer of last years ISA to complete before I can start putting away this years allowance? I have a grand in my account that is destined for the ISA and want to move it soon so that I get the best return on the ISA, and more importantly so I don't spend it! :)
