Im sure it would be very beneficial for people to have this information regarding pairing the navman spin 100 within this section. Thanks give to previous poster from other forum re: this phone

You need to "pair" the 2 devices first before launching TomTom first time (it will be automatic afterwards). Just enable Bluetooth on the phone and switch on the receiver. From the phone, you need to create a New BlueTooth connection after detecting the navman. Once it is discovered, pair them. It will ask for a passkey. You need to change the key setting on your phone to ABC (all capital letters - I think you need to press the * or # button to do this) and enter "NAVMAN". It will pair. Now open TomTom and under GPS settings, choose "other Bluetooth receivers" and it should automatically find it.

After this has been done, you won't need to go through it again. When TomTom is opened next time you use it, Bluetooth will be enabled and the pairing will be done automatically.
If at first you don't succeed - destroy all evidence that you tried.

I keep getting not a valid windows ce application when trying to run tomtom mobile 5.2, any ideas.

You either haven't fully unlocked your phone to install apps or you are using a version designed for PDA's

It certainly wouldn't for me at the weekend, nor the DAB for long.
I just put it down to weak or changing signals [DAB signals that is, not train ;-)]
Worked fine both ends of the journey.

Someone on one of the forums was boasting about him watching East Enders on the 'Tube'.

Dunno if it's different as the signals there must be pretty strong.

    Query

HOW IS STREAMING AUDIO different to what this does?

    Im confused (Again)??

I came back from London in February by train and couldn't get a decent reception on my phillips DAB or a stable picture on my casio handheld tv but i put that down to speed and the electrics overhead.

I think streaming audio refers to listening to audio from the net via GPRS. You would have to pay standard data rates to do this

    Hi all,

I'm so glad dc started this thread as I am a complete novice when it comes to smartphones having upgraded to the Lobster from a Nokia 1100 !!!!!!!!!!

I have been playing around with it for a few days and have managed to instal a couple of games from sites mentioned on MSE and HUKD.

    My question is this:

When the Lobster is linked to my pc via ActiveSync it synchronizes ok with ticks against the relevant applications but on my calendar in outlook on my pc I have appointments booked but these do not transfer to the calendar on the Lobster. Should the information on the pc outlook calender transfer to the Lobster calendar ??

    thanks

    Re call recording

Are you looking for free software or are you willing to pay. Have a look at this

You can download the program so maybe you can try before you buy

It appears that HTC devices don't have the right hardware to record calls. Downer :(
