Lobster TV info and discussion thread (applications and reviews)

Due to the popularity of this phone on the Grabbit board I think it is time for somewhere to discuss problems, techy problems and applications like GPS.

It is a versatile Windows Smartphone with TV and DAB, and can use Tom Tom 5.2 for Windows phones via a bluetooth gps receiver, ( not the popular Nokia Symbian version tho).

At the mo TT5 and small aerial seem to be topics of interest.

I have found some good info and reviews here

and here

So let the ball roll.

WD Dc, Glad you did that.

tried earlier but site was not working properly and it crashed. Then I had to go out.

I think it would be good if a lot of the posters realise that I and many others are totally green about all things GPRS, BLUETOOTH, and other techy stuff.
What type of progs will run and what type wont would be a good starting point.

Thanks for those sites Alan. VERY useful.

    Question.

Can I load ANY software designed for Mobiles onto Lobby or only the software designed for PDA's?

Is there any particular type of software that WONT run on this Lobby/Monet/Trilogy?

I am not sure how much PDA software will work. Most smartphone software will work but the older stuff may not utilize the full screen. The last link I posted has a forum specifically for QVGA (the size of the lobsters screen) software. Also when changing the home screen use QVGA ones as the others will not fit the screen properly
