It is really difficult to advise pigpen - just because he has diagnosis of Aspergers doesnt mean you can say 'oh yes they do this because' - or 'its a symptom of' and know how to treat it. You know your son and why do you think he lashed out? what does HE say?
If he is getting increasing violent - Why? what is going on his life?

If the cat is that bad its (more or less) incontinent, senile and causing a lot of trouble needing to be confined and causing tension, maybe it needs to be put to sleep?

Can't be good on top of everything else you've got going on at the moment!

I hope you get your chaos fixed soon and things calm down x

My DD1 was referred to camhs, they saw her about three times someone different every time! Maybe they are understaffed to uselessness everywhere.

That was DS2 and the 8 was def. a typo.. it occurred at 27 weeks pregnant.. different child, different issues.. he is actually fabulous 95 % of the time now.. other than the squabbles with DS3 which is perfectly normal stuff. We got to the bottom of that episode and ironed it all out.. it boiled down to a school issue.

am actually more concerned about me retaliating out of instinct.. like when he headbutted me last week and I just lashed out.. I don't want to hurt him.. and he doesn't even seem to be able to see the inappropriateness of him hitting or hurting the baby when it arrives..

I am glad my overall lack of confidence in CAMHS based on our last experience is not purely my dislike of most services taking over.

I will give the disabiity team a ring and see if they can offer any support or advice..

    thanks..

He isn't getting worse or more frequent or anything.. Ruby is confused and getting my boys mixed up.

I think he lashed out because he doesn't know how to properly focus or control strong emotion, whether that is positive or negative. If he gets over excited he can't stop, he has to go 10 steps further than he needs to. If he gets sad he can cry for days, it took him 3 weeks to stop crying every day over the death of his rabbit. Anger is the same, he cannot cope with it so it all rolls out at once but it isn't so bad when they are children but he is mansize now, small man but still mansize.

This is something the psychologist was looking at before he left...

He said DD4 was 'getting on his nerves' ... I did say if I lashed out every time someone got on my nerves I'd be forever pummelling someone!
