To be fair, those of us who live with children who have behavioral issues/illnesses, call it what you like, have our bar of tolerance a lot higher than those of you who do not. I am not suggesting that what is happening here isn't an issue because it is, what I am saying is it is less shocking to those of us who have lived with it.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Including the 10 year old who was punched in the stomach?
Sorry, but weary resignation can't be the answer here.0 -

That's why I said I am NOT saying it isn't an issue.

Just out of interest, who are you expecting to wave a magic wand and make the problems disappear?
Even with help (which pigpen has repeatedly said they are getting - I have done a SEN challenging behaviours parenting course and she is doing the right things) his ability to deal with his emotions isn't going to change because of a social worker visit, it is going to be a long process.
Look at teabag29's threads for proof of SS being involved in a much more severe case than pigpens DS and doing absolutely nothing to help.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

you don't think violent behaviour is a REAL issue? use any contact hun -she will probably be happy to help. you and your kids need help!!!!!!!!!!
totally agree with this. Sorry PP, but I also think you're daft having another baby with the issues your family are having.:j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -

With that logic no one would have kids. No ones life is perfect.
I think your all being way hard on PP because of her circumstances.
Not sure why people can't accept others decisions without having to put thier nose in and tell them what they think is best because thats how society has brought them up to think.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

Well PP is quite vocal about her situation so she has to accept some criticism over it - 10 kids, one on the way and neither parent working - and now this latest over her son punching her young daughter.:j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -

Are you saying what I think your saying that basicly because she tells us she has 10 kids people are allowed to judge her?
If I'm correct thats what you mean?
Kids fight regardless? How many of us can actally say we havnt hit a sibling? If my first son had been disabled in some way would that mean that you would be telling me not to have any more kids because of the 'issues' im already dealing with?
How many kids am I allowed to have FYI before its socially acceptable to you?People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

No I'm not 'telling' you anything, love. I'm giving my opinion on something which, last time I checked, I was allowed to do even though my opinion might get people's backs up - like it obviously has you.
Again it is up to PP to have as many kids as she likes but, again, as she is very vocal about her situation on public forums then it might get people's backs up - like me - and we give advice, which is what she is asking for and with the beauty of everyone being different and not thinking the same, then she will have varying degrees of opinions. I really hope my DS will take after me and learn to accept people regardless of how they choose to live.People don't know what they want until you show them.0
