I work with kids and young adults who are on the spectrum, and it is sometimes very draining. I really take my hat off to the parents who cope with that 24/7, work, run a home and have other children to care for and marriages to sustain. I am not sure I could do it.

They are the unsung heroes of society as far as I am concerned. And there are so many of them out there quietly getting on with it.

I agree it's very different -however as well as having a son with Aspergers I've also worked with kids on the spectrum so have seen it from both sides and the GOOD professionals are fantastic and I take my hat off to them too. They CHOOSE to work with ourr kids and can , at times, make the most amazing difference.
