The person in my family who has Asperger's wouldn't say boo to a goose, the violence isn't necessarily due to him being on the spectrum.
I know, I have two who are chalk and cheese.
One can be violent the other is not.
My friends OH has aspergers. Wouldn't hurt a fly but its taken 4 years for him to say hi in passing.
Edit for bigmaz: my ASD experience is relevant to this thread. Your other thread chilled me to the bone in a bad way, its a slippery slope to even think those thingsMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

I don't think I'm desperate, more like you are, you think a 14 year old is a young adult, well he is in this instance as it gives your post more clout lol.Anyway who cares? Your getting desperate here. The fact is, the damage a 14 year old can do punching a 10 year old girl full force is severe.... And no matter how many technicalities you want to throw at it wont make it any different0 -

What has this got to do with anything...... I said "the damage a 14 year old can do punching a 10 year old girl full force is severe" Do you disagree? Or are you just going to just reply with this adult thing?0 -

Of course he could do damage. That's why pigpen wants to make sure he doesn't do it again and understands why.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

You just want an argument eh? lol.
I am in total support for Pigpen....... If you read the posts, Joons was trying to say its normal for brothers to hit their little sis's like this..... 0 -

Read back and find my post about it... My brother has the scar to prove it :rotfl:
I'm not saying its totally normal, there were some big issues in my family that didnt help when we were kids but still, It's more common than you'd think.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Phew, thanks, I was starting to think I was going mad, lol, I always hear folk saying "your a young man now" to 14/15 year olds. I had it when I was that age.0 -
A 14 year old can have the body of an adult, definitely. 14 year olds become parents, or commit crimes, or make their own medical decisions.
Its a funny age, not a child, not an adult. Something like ASD only complicates that and makes it even more important to make sure they know the right way to behave and how to treat others.0 -

Not in my opinion, a young adult to me would be at least 16 years old. A 14 year old is very much a child in my eyes, even more so if they have learning difficulties.ghost_town wrote: »A 14 year old would be considerate a teenager or a young Adult moreso than a child.0
