Tayforth i felt the same when i had a family holiday and was nearing the end i just kept thinking it would eventually be over, i could have informed them beforehand but all were so excited about the holiday and i just wanted the holiday over and then do the necessary. I felt it gave me time to build up to it and personally i couldnt give a shoot about how he felt i wanted everyone else to be happy on holiday that was the least he could do.

So you go to the wedding let your sis and BIL have their day and then after you can tell them all!

    Thanks.

I'm leaving my mum's soon and going back to our house. Dreading it, tbh.

    Hi Tay,
I have just sat here and read the whole thread and boy that was a lot of reading, LOL
I think you sound a really lovely person and thoughtful, I admire your feelings for your family (mother and Sister). I think once the wedding is over and you have told all the people you you want to tell, you will have a big weight lifted off your shoulders and your new life can begin and it will be well deserved.
It will feel strange at first, but take a day at the time and enjoy the peace.Sending you lots of hugs. xx
Treat other's how you like to be treated.

    Harry born 23/09/2008
New baby grandson, Louie born 28/06/2012,
Proud nanny to two beautiful boys :j
And now I have the joy of having my foster granddaughter becoming my real granddaughter. Can't ask for anything better

    UPDATE,
As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted

I got back about an hour ago. He's out, to my relief. I'm going to bed shortly, just want a decent night's sleep.

Thanks to all of you for your support over the last seven days. My decision is made, but I get the feeling that the hardest part hasn't even begun yet, so I will keep posting if that's ok. It's the only thing keeping me going right now xxx

I'm currently watching Juno, it always cheers me up. I'm feeling more relaxed.

    Rambling now, sorry.

  • No idea what Juno is, but I'm glad it helps.

I've read the whole thread, and I do think that while procrastination is completely understandable, you'll feel a whole lot better once you've told him.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

I hope so. I'm alternating between lots of feelings ATM. Also trying to imagine what it'll be like afterwards. I'm ashamed to admit that I'm scared.

You don't need to be ashamed - it's all pretty scary but you know in your bones it's right. Stay with that and all will be well.
Sleep tight - you're not alone with so many people here thinking of you...

Thank you. I did struggle to get to sleep, but I feel a little better today.

He didn't come back last night, I assume that he was still at his mum's and has gone to work from there. I'll speak to him when I see him.

Long term, I haven't even thought about what to do. I'd love to take a break from work, even for a month, to get my head together.
