Right, I'm here to do a proper update as haven't done one for a few days and my spends are getting out of control.

    Food £24.57/£30 for this week
    Petrol £30.01/£30
    Entertainment £3.70/£20 for this week

Today has only been playgroup so that was cheap. Yesterday I bought drinks at the play barn and Saturday was finishing the food shop and messy church donation.

I don't think I'll have a SFD until at least Thursday but we'll see. I have definitely regretted keeping on top of my spreadsheet/diary as I now feel out of control when I'm still better than I would normally. I'm hoping I can keep on top of things now the holidays are over. The bank account still looks brilliant though so must be doing something right :rotfl:

Tomorrow is only a small donation for craft club. I will be going into town but only to the bank to see the mortgage advisor.

1st day went ok. Commute was absolutely fine. Actually there 40 mins early "just in case". Didn't do a lot of work - it was mainly watching people and taking in information, although did answer a few phone calls to take messages. That was interesting :rotfl:

I dont think it'll be as fun as my previous job, but i suppose you are there to work and not socialise. The people seem friendly enough so fingers crossed it'll work out.

    Hello everyone :hello:,

Very glad I can claim nsd 6 for today... KAT, I know the feeling when you don't fancy food I feel the same tonight. My reason is I had a big lunch at work (all paid for :j) so my supper were only 2 oranges... very tasty and satisfying :T. I wish my lunch at work would be paid for everyday :o (can only wish, haha).
I am tired tonigh after a long walk so I am off to bed.
Good night and have a great day tomorrow everybody.

  • Well, finally a day where neither oh or I spent. I was back to work and OH was at home with poorly baby. I feel very proud I had some beef in the freezer that I got out yesterday, cooked last night in a stew and had tonight. Now that it is a lot of forward thinking for me. Was a bit worried it would be like leather, but 3 hours of cooking later and a sprinkling of mixed herbs, basil and paprika - OH actually complimented it and he doesn't even like stew. Leftovers for his lunch tomorrow! Now I always wonder did the cheap meat saving get overtaken by the 3 hours of hob time?

Officially half way through the month - will tally up tomorrow and put on here. Time to cringe..

    Off to bedington.
If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money cannot buy. :)
  • Checking in with a SFD and managed not to buy any clothes so far this month, a miracle for me!

Off to update budgets! Eh xx
  • SFD again here. Need to focus as have an interview looming and interviews are a major downfall of mine. Any tips to stay calm appreciated. L2B.x
