    Morning all

Have had quite a difficult week for reasons not related to finances. Why is it that when things are c**p I want to spend money? Anyhow, with a very frugal fortnight I should be OK until the end of the month.

Hope the party goes well Kat.

My son is back to school tomorrow so back to a normal routine which actually I am quite looking forward to! Hope everyone has a nice Sunday.
  • Morning campers. Well yesterday was a SFD much to my eldests disgust cos ee went nowhere. Have updated my signature. Am busy reading a book at the minute, have been poorly since December and its making me feel low in mood. So i an learning meditation in the hope that if Im more in tune with my body then the pain will lessen and i will feel happier all round. If it doesn't work then nothing is lost as i will have gained an hour of me time each day.

Kat have an ace party. Cupcakes sound ace.

Awwwwww Kat - you're no fun.

I had visions of you sauntering into a little chic Italian bistro, asking for a coffee and 'pompino' in your bestest Italian, and the waiter saying, 'Hmmm miss, I'm sure we can help you out' <again in italian>... HA HA HA HA!!! I'm such a kid. Still - you might have got a free coffee!!! :rotfl:

Liking the timeline idea BouncyMickey - there's quite a few of us hitting big milestones... Kat just hit 30, I was 40 last November... anyone else just skidded past a decade change??? Will have a think about my 'Before I'm 50' list!

Lol re. Yazz tune. It is kinda catchy!!! I'm going to throw another one in that always inspires me. So if you're lacking motivation - play this!!! <you might hate it lol but hey> The kinky outfit and boob fondling are of course mandatory as demonstrated here!

Ahem. Well - today = SFD number 6

Yesterday did a shop for essentials and spent some cash on a much needed pan for scrambled eggs/omlettes! Am *still* within budget too!!! See signature for totals!

    Have a good one everyone!!!

Look out, Abundant's got the glitter ball out :D I reckon you should have hired him as your party DJ kat!!

The last few days have been a bit frugal and a bit spendy...topped up my shopping and spent a little on things that come under the miscellaneous heading but seem to add up very quickly! I'm aiming for the next 7 days to be SF...although, I may need to top up on bread and milk midweek.

Budgets look scary since we're not yet halfway through the month, but this time next week we'll be two thirds of the way there so if I can manage my 7 in a row SFDs, I'll be alright (famous last words!!)

So, April so far looks like...

  • Hello all. Managed a SFD yesterday but had to make a small purchase today so that was a wasted spend day. Never mind. Am feeling a bit low this weekend, debts not coming down quick enough, and my planned largish payment off CC2 at end of the month won't be happening so now it will be July/August before i make real headway. still on target for DFD 31/12/13 but that seems so far away. Anyway, mustn't wish the time away. Hope your party goes well, Kat. Onwards and upwards.

  • Hope that you've had a great birthday party Kat! Enjoy all the cakes and champers.

I want to give a virtual hug to yorkshirelass, learningtobudget and stoplurking. I'm only just confronting my spending habits and debts and am aware that I have a long road ahead of me. I know you mention having a difficult time at the moment, but I wanted you to know that as a newbie, I am really inspired by the fact that you have conquered some of your debts and reduced them by quite large sums. You encourage me that this is worth me getting my head out of the sand! I hope that the sun shines on the three of you this week.

I had a spend day today but it was an almost virtuous one. Given the lovely weather and the fact that I could almost believe that Spring is finally here, hit the 99p shop for some spring cleaning supplies. Would have cost me a lot more if I had bought the same products (or in fact even shops own brand) in the supermarket as per usual. My challenge for the week is to now get my home into a suitably spring like clean state...and hopefully that will also distract me from spending!

    Hope you're having fun Kat!

No cash spent today. We had a sunday dinner at my mum & dads then did a dry run to my new office. The journey was about 20mins in light Sunday traffic so guesstimating 30mins for peak time. Going to leave an hour for the commute anyway lol. I'm nervous about tomorrow - new job an' all, wish me luck!
