:)Aprils Fool No More!!!
Break the bad habits - Change your Life!

Break the bad habits - Change your Life!
We are going to keep this simple. So many threads go up each day about people not knowing what to do about money being owed, debts creeping up and bills going unpaid. So it’s time to change don’t you think!!!

We don't want to be fools relying on our CC, we don't want to be fools relying on Payday loans, we don't want to be fools with no pennies to our name when emergencies arise and we don't want to be fools who are not planning for our future!
It's time to be WISE! ..as they say "a fool and his money are easily parted".. lets not be counted under that banner any more and really keep check of where our pennies are going!!!
Join the challenge, change your behaviour and see results. I won't say it will be easy, but it will be fun. We are warriors here and what better way to start than to sign up and meet that debt face on, with us pushing from behind.
So the rules are simple and some may say life changing. Introduce yourself, check in everyday and realise that from now on you WILL be in control. For starters...
.... this is NOT is a place to be rude, unhelpful, unkind or patronising. Everyone has a different battle, differing circumstances and differing lifestyles. We are here to help each other. If this is too tough for you please move on, don’t leave negative comments. If this seems too much of a “competition” for you then you don’t understand what we are doing - please move on and find something that suits you better.
The Rules!
The Rules!
- This challenge commences on the 1st April 2013 @ midnight and will finish on the 30th April 2013 @ midnight.
- You will pitch in with 20 SFD. (Spend Free Days)
- You will finish all foods in cupboards and freezers before buying more - this means NO BULK shopping trips this month.
- Set a food budget - mine is £80 again - and do not exceed it. Spend days for vitals like milk, fruit and veg. Otherwise use up everything in cupboards first.
- You will more than likely have already been paid - get a spreadsheet open now, plot where you feel money NEEDS to go this month. Everything else must be avoided.
- Keep a spent diary - be vigilant. Put down everything even if its a planned spend.
- No cafes to be used, no restaurants, no work canteens, no Starbucks / Costa etc,.. wave bye-bye to unnecessary spending!
- bring your own lunch to work everyday - no exceptions. Make them the night before to avoid "forgetting" in the morning.
- Choose 10 products you use on a regular basis. Pen a letter to each company, being nice and complimentary and asking for a free sample. Let's see if this works!!! ..(no emails permitted - when in doubt get your child to write.. they are usually recieved better)..
- If you have purchases that are all "yellow sticker" purchases then this is can be classed as an SFD. (Medication exempt from SFD also - can't have you all keeling over now can we)..
- Start a spring clean - clutter free house = clutter free mind. Trust me - its therapeutic! Get rid of toys to charity shops, books to Amazon Trade-In and start cleaning up every aspect of your life.. it's fun when you get stuck in!!
- You MUST check in everyday - even with a one liner to let us know your progress...
***Please add your name on a post only. Comments and budgeting chat will start on Monday. Please DO NOT re-post the entire initial thread indicating what you can and can't do - please just leave your name for now to prevent this thread getting to long uneccessarily ***
Now bring it on!
