    Quick check in...

SFD day today but did take out £100 out of ATM for monthly spends (excluding petrol).
Tomorrow, however, will not be a SFD as courtesy car needs fed - but it is a Fiat 500 & I'm so chuffed..... Also, I will keep the car clean & wash it before it gets returned to save a £25 charge.

Ad sadly, that's all for tonight...

    Evening all,

I've decided I've had my 2nd SFD. I did pay 50p towards tea and cake at craft club and 50p for a book on ecofriendly cleaning from the bric a brac stall but have decided to take it out my penny jar. I promise I won't cheat again :rotfl:

I do have planned spends tomorrow. I managed to only take £5 out this evening for the £4 parking at the hospital parking out of other spends. Am planning on taking a drink and a snack with me so shouldn't spend anything while there. I am planning on buying a monthly pass for the play barn for DS but that will come out of my entertainment budget.

    Evening Everybody!

Had a BAD day at work and the temptation to go and buy a Take Away to console myself after work was there but a combination of food diary, determination to get fit and of course knowing I would have to report in here, kept me on the straight and narrow!!!

    Today = SFD number 2 :D

Have a day off tomorrow and will do a stock take of milk, fruit and veg. I have the car booked in for a service (already budgeted for) and am hoping it doesn't cost over what I've saved.

Keep up the good work everyone!!!

  • Hi everyoneI've made a kinda ok start, but had to spend money on new wellies which are essential for my self-employment, so I'm not very happy that I've spent £60 on footwear today, however I will claim for them as part of my self-assessment tax calculation! My others have split & I'll be returning them to the retailer tomorrow
Also paid £30 for Physio treatment on my back
Not a bad start, but could do better....

  • Day two and onto the naughty step! Went to the pub for somebody's leaving do, and caved to a pub lunch :( So SFD blown I went and ran some errands, and paid some bills.

Now though I honestly can't think of anything I could possibly need to buy, so I'm planning to see how many SFDs I can get in a row . . . wish me luck!

    Evening all!

Declaring one SFD and one spend day. Well it was a titchy spend, the mothership took me out for din dins, she pays, I tip, so £2.50 out.

I'm breaking the rules this month and trying a different tact. Usually I set a budget, and stay ish around it. As we're away at the end of this month I couldn't work out what the budgets should be, we've got a bit of food in, so I'm just going to go with run all the food out and spend as little as possible in that department.... and petrol? Again, run it down and do little top ups rather than filling up....

£100.00 Budgeted for social... and most of that is for the Mr!

And just got a few little bits to get for the jollydays (anyone know of a GOOD, cheap, mossie repelant?) and we're set. I'm counting down the hours!!!

Big waves to all the newbies :)

Kat - or anyone - when are you off? If i've missed your departure i'm thinking safe journeys and good times!!!

And i'm DETERMINED to keep up a spending diary thing month. Happy April.

p.s. where were all the cheapo easter eggs yesterday? Went to the supermarkets to pick up some knocked down eggs, NONE! Unhappy Mayfair! Happy purse though......

What's zone 2? Sorry just being nosey lol

London Underground! My journey is into Zone 1, but Zone 2 is £1.50 cheaper each way so, thanks to a sunny day and a comfy pair of trainers, I managed to save £3.00 :D
