Hi all,
My first SFD:). I popped to shops with OH & he bought me some odds & sods:). I think tmw will be a day of leftovers.0 -
Spend day for me today, bits and pieces as had friends for tea, and I know spending tomorrow for holiday bits but hoping to organise myself so can be my last spend day this week.
Enjoy the holiday NSK - treat yourself with no guilt knowing how hard you have worked and the cash you are helping us all save and gain control over! You definately deserve it!Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -

Loving all the updates from everyone. Well done everyone!! Glad you all seemed to have a nice weekend.
Gosh kat, you're not even away yet and I seem to have broken the rules - who knows what havoc I'll cause unsupervised!!
After a SM trip this afternoon, and a £31.17 spend, I decided my food budget has to increase or it'll be gone in the first week  So, my new budget is going to be £80 but it's a long month, and I intend to focus on what I eat, rather than eat what's cheap (if that makes sense?). And, I've spent so much of the budget already as I have time off work to cook so I have a freezer full of goodies that I wouldn't have had time to prepare in a normal week. It'll balance itself out over the month.
So the extra £20 has to come from somewhere right? Well, I will cut my Oystercard budget by £15. If I get off the tube in Zone 2 rather than Zone 1, I save £1.50 per off peak journey. So, if I do this 10 times in the month that's £15 saved (and a lot of free exercise). The other £5 will be diverted to my food account from my first ebay sale that I make.
With all this extra walking, I hope the weather improves!!
Not much else to report, so my figures so far for April are...
SFD: 0/20
Food: £47.86/£80
Petrol: £20/£50
Misc: £25.79/£1000 -
S0 day Numero Uno is over and I am still up. Toe nails painted, moggy on my knee, windows washed (don't ask) and 4 loads of holiday clothing washed. Just need shoes repaired, a sunbed session (yes really) and new laces and I am set.
I haven't set an eBay or money target cause I honestly forgot... anyone who wants to make a pledge to gain extra income through any means possible then GREAT!
EBay purchase of £10 being picked up tomorrow and ridding me of a massive rucksack that I don't need! Whoop!
Right.. I am freezing. I have a "dry clean" only coat drying on my radiator.. I'm a genius but the room is getting no heat. Best hug this moggy all night..:rotfl:
Onwards and Upwards!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -

My first spend free day yesterday :j was something of a revelation, I didn't realise just how often I dipped into my purse when we are out and about, not going to be easy to keep the spends low with three kiddies home for easter holidays, but will do my bestest!
Going to have to have a shop day today, out of most basics, milk, butter, bread, fruit etc, but have a list and will stick to it.
Today I will be baking cupcakes with them, then helping them make them pretty, all from storecupboard ingredients. Then will sort out a load more seed trays and get some more veg seeds in.
Have a nice day everyone, looks like the sun might even stay out!0 -
Yesterday was a SFD and I planned out what was in the fridge and cupboards for this week's meals. I'm outside all today and as it's freezing cold I might have to pop into a cafe for a warm up which will be money spent but worth it to prevent frostbite!!!Seriously money saving0

need to hit sm for fruit bread etc. So won't be a sfd but will attempt damage limitation. Half term is long this month which challenges my sfd's but am determined to climb back on the wagon. Gonna walk to the shops and take some cash out. That way i can exercise the troops whilst sorting my budget.xLBM 2008 [STRIKE]£45,091.23[/STRIKE] eek: now £7889:T Debt free date 18/07/20180
