there seem to be people selling unlocking codes for it on ebay for £15-£25. is this likely to work?

Hi,

I am really not that computer literate, do not have the cable and dont want to risk stuffing up a perfectly good phone. I was wondering if there was somone in victoria who would unlock my 6680 for me using this method. Am willing to pay and will of course travel.

Any assistance would be appreciated!!!

Pay the provider to give you the code based upon the IMEI, pay someone on eBay to issue you the code based upon the IMEI, or take the handset to a local phoneshop for them to physically unlock ...

me + unlocking software + N70 + following notes from web = knackered phone!
