well i tried on a normal 7 pin one and it didnt work at all. reads the phone but cant unlock it. i was told on the forums i frequent that you must have the 13 pin one with the 3rd party drivers. i purchased and got the drivers and it worked.
i have another 13 pin cable, sold one to b2s on here which i think worked but didnt use correct drivers.0 -
Hi guys, I have seen alot of post talking about using DKU-5 or what ever it is and you must use that cable that came with your phone to unlock it using BB5 software by dejan.
Guess what, my phone (Nokia 5200b) doesn't have a slot to plug in those cables. It only has a USB (Type A i think of Typeslot on top of it. Can it still be done via USB, the cable that nokia provided me.
I have no problem configuring the proper COM port (mine uses com4) but when I run the program it just hangs...did all possible troubleshooting to no avail. I even downloaded the usb2vcom.sys and still does the same thing.
Im thinking of flashing the whole phone totaly... Any suggestions?0 -

Is there a relationship between the contents of the log file and what comes up on your screen when you hit "Read Phone"?
That is, if all the numbers come up when I hit read phone but the program fails to write a log file for me, can I use the data on the screen to generate the unlock code?
Any chance someone can post up some screen shots of both the Read Phone stuff and the eventual log?0 -

I'm having the same problems as Hungry Hippo with a CA-42. Also when i click on "read phone" then WR Backup, it says "Backup files of IMEI not found". So when i click on make log, the program is non responsive. I also have a DKU-5 (6 pin), but the results aren't as good as a CA-42. What to do?0

have you got a full 13 oin dku 5 cable, thats what you need.0
-
No i haven't purchased a DKU-5 (13 pin) but i heard those were hard to find. Checked out ebay and it seems they've got the 6 pin ones only.0

they are available on ebay thats where i got mine from, ask the sellers if your not sure.0

Okay i've checked and there's this seller who is selling one but i'm unsure about it's other end. Is it a FBUS?0
