Well I just tried the cheaper of those 2 to unlock my N70..didn't work.
Software reads the phone no problem but wont backup or write log (bad connection error). It is a "Prolific" cable with 6 pins. Contrary to some of the posts in this thread there are other forums where people have used 6-pin DKU-5s sucessfully, just not me

    Hi,

I follow the procedure till click on botton "Read Phone" .. then the program always return "Error bad connection" .. I use the usb nokia cable provided with the phone .. can anybody help me ?

This is the imei 357617006884647 and the phone operator is H3G Italy.

    Regards

  • Ey up,

I had a problem with unlocking my 6700 as well. I bought a 6700 on t mobile, not realising how hard they were to unlock and once i got it, i took it to various mobile phone shops/stalls. They quoted me 30-50 squid and said it would take a week.

So i then decided to contact t mobile direct to see if they could help. They said i needed to be a tmobile customer (which i am not). For tmobile contract customers, it cost £15, and pay as u go i didnt ask about but u have to have had the sim card for at least 3 months.

So i remembered my brother in law was on tmobile and asked him to ring for me, he did and gave the imei number to the tmob c/s. They said it would take 10-28 days and charge my bro in law £15 on his next bill. I recived a letter from t-mobile after a week with the code and hey presto, phone now unlocked.

    Hope this helps.
