If I was out with the lads and had agreed it was ok with my girlfriend I sure as hell wouldn't want to be pestered/ tracked with text messages from my girlfriend all night. I think I would however have checked in at some point during the day. Girls like texting a lot, but most guys I know arent so keen.
If you think he is being unreasonable, and it sounds kind of borderline, you might like to sod off for a weekend with a girlfriend and blank him for a couple of days - might let him see what it feels like.

Just thought I would check back. I think it was all due to expectations, I expected him to be home before I was and got p!ssed when he wasn't! After speaking to him last night he said that it was only supposed to be a "quick drink" and was going to be back for dinner.

He apologised when I got home from work, I was never visibly angry/upet with him so he wasn't just saying sorry for the sake of it. He's usually the needy one and I'm the more relaxed one so he didn't mind the 9million texts I sent, as he does it all the time. He only got them the morning after due to no battery anyway. And he cooked dinner so thats always a plus!! x
