Hi, Im an O2 customer. I signed up to their offer they gave me for signing up early. Check my thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4607239
Looking at reviews now, I am a bit worried they will slow down my line as I am getting amazing speed. Around 19mbps for download speed and upload speed of around 1.10mbps. I have never has problems with this speed as some say Sky slows down speed for stability. I think I already have a stable line? We'll see when my line goes active on the 5th June.Save money, get the things you want! Blow it all, regret it!0 -
I took up the offer of 12 months free, but have received a text saying I'm to be billed for £14+, which was the full cost, before mobile discount, on a date in June.
I rang to complain and was told it was an error, which the call centre person promised to correct.(We'll see) .Has this happened to anyone else ?
My bill notifications, before this, have always been by email.0 -
Sky are the devils spawn, they will slow you down to 1200/50 baud.
My advise is to run you clever boy/girl and remember.:-)That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I had an email, today, saying they would take payment on June 14th, so I called again, asking about the status of my account and was told that I had 12 months free, but was to be charged on June 14th, so it was not corrected, yesterday.
The person I spoke to says it will be put right today, but said he couldn't send me the amended (ie zero ) bill but would call me when it's sorted....so we wait....
We had trouble with Sky, many years ago, when it took 3 months to cancel a tv subscription. they didn't charge for the 3 months, though.0 -
He called, as promised, but I will be checking again, tomorrow.0

I am very angry, as the excuse that my contract change/offer was made the day before the offer ended complicated things, does not make sense, especially as that was in April and it's now June.
Today's 'helper' (they don't give names) says he is trying to stop the payment being taking and will replace the money straight away , if it has gone through.
Am I the only person having this problem with the 12 free months ?0 -

If your talking about the Free Sky Tv and Broadband offer? Then Yes, at first I did. They didnt apply the offer onto my account as I signed up via a third party company. Called them up and they fixed it. Bill for Tv shows £0.00. Broadband and telephone to be activated on the 5th June. This should also be free for 12 months and half price line rental. They told be its on the account so I will be waiting till activation.... I'll keep ya posted!Save money, get the things you want! Blow it all, regret it!0 -

I've been an O2 home phone and BB customer for a few years now. I've received several emails from O2 over the past few months to say its being sold/bought by Sky but thats all.
My contract expires on 15th July and I don't know what happens then. In the past it would have just continued as it was unless I contacted O2 to see if they had any offers and re-signed, but I don't have a clue who to speak to now.0 -
If you change to sky line rental can you keep your home phone number or do you get a new number?0
