Hi, New on this, dont know if this is the right place to post this thread. :j

Anyway, been an O2 customer since they started their Home Broadband And Phone service. Its a shame that Sky is taking over.

Got an email from Sky this morning saying that I can move early. Got a great offer. Free Sky Entertainment Extra+ for 1 year and also Free Sky Unlimited Broadband for 1 year. They say a saving of £468.

I will also be getting Sky Line Rental paying upfront. That falls the same as £10 per month. With Unlimited Calls at £5

So i'll only be paying £15 roughly....

Any idea if this is good? Sounds good to me.....:rotfl:

Also apparently if your in a contract with O2 then you wont be charged for moving as Sky has the rights now?

I thought I was in contract until August as I renew every year for better deals. But they confirmed I wasn't in a contract and confirmed even if I was I wouldn't be charged if I move to Sky. However if you go elsewhere other than Sky then you will be charged IF your in a contract. Hope this helps. :)

Call O2 like you normally would and ask to speak to Sky
  • I did ring o2 who offered me 12 months half price but i can still get a better deal just leaving. she did say that i should ring sky but didnt offer to put me through..

Hmmm, that was cheeky from her because I know they can definitely put customers through to Sky. Try again, this time select the Home Move option with O2 and I believe you will get put through to the Sky department dealing with this (it's what I did)

They didn't put me through to Sky. They told me to give Sky a call and also put me through to O2 Cancellations Team. :S

Yeah, got a call at first from someone not sure who, offering deals I think it was O2 but didn't think much of it until I got this email. Will be purchasing this deal within the next few days.

Called O2 for MAC Code, Instantly offered 12 months half price broadband. They said O2 transfer to Sky could take 18 months so this is better. I said I'd rather get FREE Broadband and TV for a year and switch earlier!

I'm already a sky tv customer but am with O2 for mobile and broadband, will I get the offer I wonder? Also I have paid BT upfront for my line rental which isn't due again until October, wonder if they'd extend the offer until then.
