I used the old O2 number and is diverted to Sky, 0800 2300202 select option 1 then 5 then 2.0 -
What's the latest deals that people managed to get from Sky recently. I just got a letter concerning the migration and that I would be charged £7.50pm. I a bit annoyed as I renewed my contract with O2 for 12 months free broadband back in April.0

Anyone know the best deals on fibre with SKY?
Can i have fibre from SKY and keep my BT line?
If not its either BT or Plusnet for me.
I want fibre but i want genuine unlimited. If i want to download 1TB a month then i dont want calls telling me to cut back.
O2 told me off for downloading more than 100GB. Then i remembered err i specifically told them were were heavy users and i may download 10GB a day so can i download 300GB some months.
Creating a family website with a ton of pictures soon hit 100GB.

I'm in the exact same boat but my free O2 finishes at the end of March, they told me that when I switch over I have to go with the Sky contract which is free but charges me £7.50 per month for not having my line rental with them. Sky do seem to have improved their phone now though and the 'anytime' equivilent offer free calls to 0845 and 0870 and free caller display and comes out cheaper than BT , I pay a year upfront so it works out about £15 pm for me. The only slight thing I'll miss is the BT phone app on my mobile where you can make calls on your mobile but it charges your landline bill, this was great when DD was working in the USA a few months ago as she was phoning me most days for about 50 mins and we got no chargeforgotmyname wrote: »Anyone know the best deals on fibre with SKY?

They like you to have their line so may charge you for not having it.0 -

A forum member at Hotukdeals, got deals on fibre broadband. For 40Mbs fiber, Sky offered 6m half price so £10 then £20 for 12 months without Sky line rental. For fiber plus, it is 12m half price but require Sky line rental (paid upfront is £119 equivalent to £9.95pm). They say these are unlimited, but best to check their T&C to see what this actually means.0 -

The info I got in my letter states 0845 are not part of your free calls. A bit sneaky of Sky to do this.0 -

Yes I noticed that but on their website and when I phoned them they said it was so perhaps their leaflet needs updating. My Sky tv contract is up soon so I'm hoping to do a deal on a package and get it to include the free broadband.0 -

That's strange, they also said they no longer do Sky Freetime and it is a very old plan. I wonder if they have custom Anytime and Freetime plans just for O2 people. I'm confused.0 -

I think they've changed it all, here's the info I got from the web

In the T&Cs it said updates to their charges were made on the 1st September so maybe that's where they've introduced it. You can also pay your line rental upfront for a tenner a month.0 -

It seems Sky have two anytime plan, Anytime and Anytime UK. Info here http://www.sky.com/shop/terms-conditions/talk/code-of-practice/tariff-guide/
Only Anytime UK includes 0845.0
