It seems Sky have two anytime plan, Anytime and Anytime UK. Info here http://www.sky.com/shop/terms-conditions/talk/code-of-practice/tariff-guide/

    Only Anytime UK includes 0845.

...so they do, how confusing, hmm well I guess we'll have to be very clear with exactly what we want.
  • After a call to Sky to discuss my options here's the best deal they offered for 12months.

Free Entertainment plus TV with hd box and installation
    Free Broadband
Free Sky Talk Freetime (free weekends and evenings calls)
£50 credit - as I'm 9 months into my 12months contract with another phone provider
    £119.40 Upfront line rental

    Is this the best deal?

This sounds a really good deal, I'd be happy with it, where did you phone as I'm going to give it a try, BTW are you an existing Sky TV customer? :)

No, I'm O2 BB customer to be migrated to Sky, I rang them after getting a notification letter from Sky. I think this offer is aimed at O2 customers. I used the old O2 BB retention number 0800 2300202 option 1-5-2

I'm an O2 BB customer but I also have Sky TV, might be worth a call though, thanks :)
  • I don't have Sky TV or any other Sky products. For some reason Sky is keen to migrate O2 customers early as possible, maybe there's financial incentive in their deal with O2.

l'll be on a new 12 month contract if I accepted the offer whereas the original offer I got (£7.50pm just for BB) sent in a letter had no tie in.
  • Just rang them and the offer seems to be for "brand new customers only" and as I have the basic sky tv package I don't qualify, anyhow I've given sky tv notice as our box is playing up a bit and I'm at the end of our half price offer, guess I'll go and have a look at other providers.

Thank you so much for posting this.

Called sky as I was ringing round every provider for a deal for DD. At first I was offered usual rubbish deals, but said I'd seen the above deal on a forum. Was asked if I was an o2 customer. Explained I'd defected to PlusNet in May. Was told that didn't matter and that they could offer me the above deal as I'd been an o2 bb customer and they could set it up for DD. This is so good and DD is over the moon. We have paid her line rental up front so all she has to pay for the next year is £5 a month.
I thought our plusnet deal was good at the time but this deal is even better. As it's a new property she also got free connection and installation !

For anyone considering plusnet, we have been pleased with it since May and have had no problems and got cashback with tcb all straight forward.

So for anyone still looking for deals make sure you quote the above offer and I believe it helps if you ask for the Olympus dept. Tel no. I used was 0800 380 0402
  • I gave it a couple of days after cancelling my Sky TV and when I went online to check my account there was a message saying 'come back we have deals for you', so rather than ringing Sky TV I rang the 0800 number for O2 leavers, at first I was offered a rubbish deal, I told him to forget it and that I'd go and see what Talk Talk were offering (I had not intention of doing this ;)), five minutes later my phone rang and I got the above offer minus the box and fitting, I'm a happy bunny :).
  • The 0800 230 0202 (option 1,5 then 2) that I posted earlier will take you directly to the Sky Olympus team. They seem to have the authority to offer these deals.

An update to my previous offer... I rang Sky my confirmation letter did not mention the Skytalk Freetime plan. They explained that it is an old plan (which I knew) and so instead gave me a further credit of £60 to cover a years worth of Anytime plan. I was happy with the Freetime but would be rude to refuse their offer :rotfl:
