No. My 12 months free is the one offered by O2.

I think I know what happened:

I was offered the 12 months free, like many others, while still in contract and taking 6 months free with 6 months full price. If the contract hadn't been renewed, I would be due to start paying in full, this month, but someone didn't change the billing.

The amount billed didn't make sense, though, as full price was £14.50 (£9.50 with mobile discount) and the bill was £13 something.

I can't understand the taking of the amount billed, on Sunday, instead of on the announced date, but my bank says that the money hasn't been taken and my online bill is negative, consisting of the proposed billed amount and an amount I had refunded, as it was sitting in the account from when I took the free 6 months in January.

Obviously Sunday's billing person didn't undestand the system, but I'm going to leave things be, provided no money is taken from me.

As I said I will keep ya posted! Switch over went ahead really smoothly. Suddenly my O2 Broadband stopped working and had a red light on the router and the dial tone was sort of funny, sort of like a melody but not the usual dial tone. So I connected up the new router and tadaaa! Started to work. Had to set up this parental control that popped up when I opened the browser (I set it to off). Dial tone was still funny sounding. But after an hour became normal. Download speed at about 2.92mbps with upload at 0.50. I should be getting 19mbps and 1.10mbps. But they say 10 days I shall wait for it to increase.

LOL very detailed, but overall experience great!

Over the years we have been vary careful not to give our mobile number to any commercial organisation to prevent endless nuisance calls.

However recently, we have received several call from SKY on our mobile numbers trying to sell us various packages.

Who the hell gave O2 authority to give SKY our mobile numbers, it's not as if SKY has bought the mobile business.

Well technically Sky own O2 so they haven't done anything wrong. I also got calls from Sky aswell telling me to switch over early. But I already purchased Sky online a few days before. Hopefully they'll stop bugging you

Might I suggest that you remove your request for thanks? I think that it will actively stop anyone from actually thanking you for anything.

If your mobile number was given to O2 and logged in your broadband account under your contact details, then of course Sky will have access to it.
