  • I was really hoping that my scan would be that day as I already have another hospital appointment on the same day so work aren't expecting me in.Amazingly it's actually worked out for the best. DH just needs to sort out the day off work now.

Feels real now I have an appointment sorted!!

I still have to have a booking in and scan date cos I'm not going for my local hospital. My 12 weeks is up on March 28th so it needs to be quick!

Im so lucky to be off work (Mat leave still they are going to love me:p )

2 days ago I came on n said I was feeling really well for the morning and I hadnt been out house for a while so me n OH went to town...ended up on a bench for 20min as feeling that crap. Had to force myself 2 move in end to get myself home. :o

I've also caught DS and OH's cough which is alot worse then it sounds...and the coughing is causing me to be sick more. :(

Still...it could always be worse

Got my scan through today. 26th March meaning I'll be 14 weeks. Had a bit of a paddy, I won't lie. I'm terrified of something being wrong and another 3 weeks is too much for me. I'm 11 weeks on Tuesday so thought it would be a week to ten days tops not over 3 weeks!

I know the day will come but I'm gutted it's not sooner : (
  • Bangton, if I were you I'd ring and get them to change it - argue that the nuchal screening can't be done after 13+6 and they should rearrange. All women are entitled to the screening, you shouldn't be penalised because they give you a later scan... Plus it means you get to see baby earlier than 14 weeks!

Hi Girls, lots of scan dates through which is great news. I got one letter confirming my booking appt for 26 March when I will be 10 weeks and another letter confirming scan date for 10 April when I will be 12+1. Can't wait!

I'm definitely more unwell this time than first time round. Terrible nausea. Yesterday morning I was so queasy walking the dog. I think it mush have been where I literally got up, out the house, all before breakfast. Must make sure i eat first. And ginger biscuits are my thing!

Will have a read back, hope everyone is doing good :)

ooh 10th April eh..? that's my 40th birthday!

I'm sooo knacjered. went to bed at 9.30 last night and could really do the same again tonight. Except we have friends coming over for dinner, so I can't!

They're getting hoofed out around 11 though or I'll be in a heap on the floor!

Sorry you are feeling poorly Miffy. All in a good cause though! x :)

    Thanks Lemon.

Scan went well - could see one sac. No heartbeat yet but it wouldn't be guaranteed to see this yet as I am not quite 6 weeks.

He has suggested another scan on Friday by which time there should be a heartbeat. Def think I'm supporting his pension fund/ savings plan (although I don't mind really)!

And then the news that he said an absolute no to skiing - I had asked him this question a week ago by e mail but he didn't answer it. Obviously I had already googled on this & got conflicting advice.

I fully understand the advice/ risk.

He can sign the insurance forms if we/ I choose not to go. This is difficult as we weren't planning on saying anything to anyone yet - was going to have a phantom kidney problem to explain no drinking. We are going as a group of 10.

So either I go, don't ski & tell them the truth (unless you guys can come up with a reason why the week before I suddenly declare I'm not a skier after 20 years of skiing).

Or I don't go, in which case I need to give an explanation to the group & also to everyone else who knows I'm going skiing (or tell a pack of lies & hide at home for a week).

We think the former is the easier in terms of telling less people so early. It would mean that I would tell my parents as I would like them to be the first to know.

It will mean a relaxed/ boring week as there's not a lot to do in ski resorts when you don't ski. I will be loading a lot onto my kindle & taking the laptop.

As I said to the FS, it's a nice problem to have to deal with - although would have been a lot easier if I had got pg a month earlier or later. It's totally not a moan though as a month ago I would have given everything to have this dilemma.

If you're an accomplished skier, which I presume you are after 20 years of skiing would you not be ok sticking to the baby slopes where there is little chance of a high impact fall?

I know when I went one year there was a woman on the slopes who must have been at least 6 months pregnant, and she was doing some not so easy runs!

TBH I thought she was taking a bit of a risk. Thinking about it actually I probably would just sit it out, the potential consequences however slim just aren't worth it.
