I had my scan today (6 weeks) and the sac and the heart beat were visible, although I'm not sure about the foetal pole - would that be the CRL measurement on my scan notes? Honestly, I'm hopeless at this kind of thing:o
Yes, good to meet someone off here in RL!
The foetal pole just means the foetus. So yes the CRL relates to the size of the foetus.
With my first, I didn't realise the foetal pole was the actual foetus, I thought it was some sort of structure in the womb for the foetus to grow on, like a tent pole or something!!!!!
Maybe its called foetal pole because it's a bit like a tadpole at that stage? who knows!0 -

My poor DH, he works 12 hours shifts, and has to come home, fix the tea, walk the dog and do the housework, while I lie on the sofa and moan and groan about how carp I'm feeling, then have about 3 mouthfulls of said dinner before feeling full up :-(
never mind, have tomorrow morning at work, then off til Tuesday, can't wait! Hugs to all those that need them.Toooldforthis wrote: »Hi all .. got bfp today after two miscarriages last year so am feeling very nervous positve vibes please all

Just been watching Child of Our Time on catch up. I can't believe its 13 years of this show- watched it every year. I was only 20 when it started. Never found it this emotional before though-must be hormones. Tears were flowing!2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Welcome toooldforthis!
In terms of being a couch potato, I mentioned this when I went to the hospital today and they said that feeling tired was good because it was a sign of my body working hard to make the baby. I'm holding on to this!0 -
congratulations tooldforthis, hope you have a lovely smooth pregnancy0

Congrats Toooldforthis!
Well, last nights nausea didn't really pass, and had me up at midnight and again at half four.
Still not actually being sick, v weird! If being tired is a good sign of my body working hard to make baby, then I must be doing overtime or something just now lol! Oh well, scan a week today, fingers crossed the week goes quick and everything is well next Fri!0 -
Hi - can I join? I got a BFP yesterday (although had been suspicious all week)..... It will be #3 for me and at the moment (too late!) have loads of concerns running through my head although I am happy really!
Anyway - am going on a girlie weekend away this weekend and am now dreading it! Dont want anyone to know (theres lots of us) although will tell 1 person just to help me - as the wine will be flowing..... How on earth am I going to not arouse suspicion?!
Hm.
Think Im only about 5 weeks - maybe due 2nd Nov ish.
Anyway - good luck to all - bride2be2012 - I feel nauseus but no sickness....0 -
Congratulation toooldforthis and sophiasmum :-) wishing you both ahppy and healthy pregnancies!
Sophiasmum, I find that if you make a big fuss about not drinking and making up excuses people are much more likely to notice/be suspicious> I normally just take a glass of wine and don't drink it, nobody notices when you don't refill it once they've had a couple too and you can drink soft drinks later without arousing any suspicion at all. It's always worked for me anyway. Good idea telling someone though, its alot to keep to yourself for a whole weekend, hope you have fun :-)
Bride2be - I think its pretty normal to feel sick but not actually be sick - the joys of pregnancy, wishing you a very good final week of the first trimester :-)
Sweaty betty - that's good to hear about being so tired. I have just started my own business which is pretty draining in itself but have allowed myself this afternoon off - soooo looking forward to it!
I'm feeling a bit brighter today and looking forward to spring, whatever it may bring for us all (I do hope it's bringing good things though)0
