  • Thanks for starting the new thread.
Had my first appointment with the midwife today - medical history, got my bounty pack, free prescription form and a prescription for folic acid as my BMI is over 30. She's put my EDD as 3rd Oct but we're both sure it's a week at least later - I'm thinking around 13th Oct. Got another midwife appointment in 2 weeks for bloods etc, and should get a scan appointment in the post, hopefully for about 4 weeks time.

My due date is 4th Oct. It'll be out before then though as having an elective c sect at 38 weeks.

Not happy this eve, my stupid brother has only gone and told my 5 year old neice that she's getting a new cousin - I'm only 9 weeks anything could happen, how would he explain that to a 5 year old?

    Evening ladies!
Can I go on the list too please? I'm due 21st Oct and I'm 6+2 today.
Feeling ok-ish, started feeling a bit ropey in the mornings but I'm hoping the morning sickness doesn't kick in just yet as I'm going to a conference this weekend for work and could do without it!
Had a bit of a wobble last night and started to panic about miscarrying again. OH was great though, he's an optimist!
Hope everyone is feeling good x
  • Pregnacare does contain iron. It's best to take it with your main meal, which for most people is in the evening.

Due 16th October here! Scan on 4th april :D
  • Bella, if the sickness tablets begin with "c" and end in "zine" ;) then I found the sleepiness stopped after a few days. I'm still on them twice a day at 22 weeks unfortunately!

Same due date but no scan date yet

I suffer with ibs too and was wondering if my nausea was down to that too, but I am having the same issue with feeling sick first thing which I've never had before (love a lie in!) I can't stay in bed if I wake up I feel really sicky and don't feel better till I've stood up and had a glass of water.
I've been taking pregnacare plus before bed, maybe it's that. Do you take supplements in the evening too?

I take boots pregnancy support plus. It comes with a huuuuge fish oil capsule that makes me gag. I take it in the evening. I have just bought some ginger nuts for my bedside table so I can have one when I get up. My sickness felt much better after lunch so fingers crossed it's not the full blown pregnancy sickness.

I love the shiny new thread!!!

Boots preg plus sound v similar to pregnacare plus, with the extra massive omega capsule. Bet they are cheaper though!
Might have to get some bedside biscuits sorted pronto!! Good idea benicetomyself. Hopefully it will help a bit.

Thanks for the advice all :)
