For those lurking, how did you handle the 'must have a full bladder' thing for the scan? I have a tiny bladder anyway, and if I go more than 10-15 minutes with a full bladder, I'm in agony...

Ive just found out im expecting again and am about 7 /8 weeks now and not so worried about getting to the 12 week mark, more bothered about telling my boss. The thing me and my hubby was trying for a baby for over 4 years, had one failed ivf attempt went on holiday to get over it and came back pregnant, which was the biggest shock of our lives, our beautiful baby boy is now 6 1/2 months and im due to go back to work in jan but will need to tell my boss that im due in july so will need another 9 months off work, lol. You could say babies are a bit like buses in my household, you wait ages for one to come along and then they all come at once, i just hope im not expecting twins, ha ha

Dated 13+1 today, and my 20 week scan is on my birthday (29 Jan)! Wonderful excuse for DH to take the day off work!

Good luck Mrs TM today. If there £4 each I better get lots of money out! Maybe if I go in my uniform they will give them to me lol. I'm not timber hill I'm out if the city but a work colleague at the same doctors as me who just had her scan was telling me about her appointment and she said it all gets filled in there so sounds same as you. Let me know how it goes.

How hard is it not to share your exciting news. I want to tell the world but at the same time scared of something going wrong.

My midwife came to my house for my booking appointment - my OH was there but didn't need to be - it's just your history and OH's history and pee sample. He needn't take any time off for that.....

Thanks for the advice about the scan date Aqua. I dont have a clue what to expect really! The letter hasn't even arrived! I presume it will be my booking in appointment. Should I pop into the Dr's for a sample bottle first then?

My DH isn't coming to the midwife appointment. We deceided it was more important for him to come to the scans and we don't really want to tell anyone until then. I did have to tell my boss as i need the time off for my Midwife appointment and my dentist knows! Hopefully going to tell my Parents this weekend and DH's next week and everyone else after the scan.

Hugs to those feeling a bit bleaurgh!

So glad everything was ok Mrs TM after your earlier scare. I know what thats like and I know what a bad 12 week scan is like so I am really very glad for you everything is all good!

Since I'm dated 13+1 now (how I became pregnant a full week before my last AF, I've no clue!) I'll need to move up to the next thread.

Hope to see everyone on the next thread soon, and I'll still definitely be lurking here.

Congratulations Mrs_T_M so pleased for you and your family. Your 2nd picture looks like one of mine which is the skull structure - so we called that the skelator picture lol.
