Congrats on the scan mrs TM. Glad all is well.
Clairbear, I'm in exactly the same position as you. We must be a little mad. :-)
Wangdoodle, yes I did have symptoms previously. I didn't exactly have my head down the toilet but I certainly had sore breasts, tiredness and a little nausea, mainly in an evening. That is why I'm feeling so concerned. I won't believe all is well until I have my scan but that isn't until the new year.
Love to all. X0 -
Great pics Mrs TM, So pleased for you.
You can see your name in the 2nd picture by the way!

Hope all is well Clarets try not to worry too much as every pregnancy is different. Would you consider having an early private scan?0

Since I'm dated 13+1 now (how I became pregnant a full week before my last AF, I've no clue!) I'll need to move up to the next thread.
Hope to see everyone on the next thread soon, and I'll still definitely be lurking here.
yay! So happy for you Mrs TM :T
- I *think the date thing is due to them counting from your last aunt flo (LMP), as that's a visible date; people usually ovulate 2 weeks after that. So by the time you miss a period you're c.2 weeks since conception but by the drs words you are '4 weeks pregnant'. Therefore, it sounds to me like you ovulated quickly after your LMP, like just 1 week later.
- that makes sense in my head! I hope it makes sense to you? Of course that might not have been what you were talking about!:rotfl:Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -
Thanks for the info on bmi + extra folic acid. I spoke to hubby and he thinks I shouldn't 'self medicate' extra fa, I think I should. Perhaps I should just eat nothing but spinach?!
Had a bath last night, and afterwards actually felt human and happy. I'm still feeling quite human. For the first time since i can remember. This is odd and good. I'm glad as I had job centre cv review today plus needed to go to the bank, which is a long walk between the two. I did not need a nap in the car afterwards! Woo! Might bite me tomorrow but at least today has been goodPlease forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -
*drumroll*
Introducing, the very first pictures of baby T_M!
First thing DH said when he saw it: It's moving!

Your baby prob just had a little growth spurt!
My baby was measuring 3 days ahead of when I know I ovulated, the midwife said they can grow fast & then slow so if you get a scan after a growth spurt it can make it seem like you're further along!
Robots it's only vitamins and I'd go with the nhs recommendation it's not really self medicating then!0 -

I ovulated on CD 14 and only dtd the night before for that whole month, so I understand being 'two weeks' at the time, but my new date puts me getting pregnant a full week before we even bd'd! Meh, oh well, I'm with claire, with as much as I've been eating lately (and as hungry as I've been) the little one probably just had a very recent growth spurt.0 -
MrsMuffin I just nipped out of the room to do a sample midway through the appointment while the midwife and her assistant were form filling.
Lovely pictures of your baby Mrs TM must be such a relief to know everything is OK.
Claretsgirl my symptoms are nowhere near as severe 2nd time round as they were with DS, so try not to worry I'm sure it's normal. One of my friends hasn't had any symptoms at all and she's over 20 weeks now.
Robots it's probably best not to self medicate the folic acid, just ask the midwife when you see her, I've only been taking the extra since it was prescribed at 8 weeks and it's only 5mg extra so I'm not sure it makes much difference to be honest. How high is your BMI anyway? Mines 40 (which came as a shock as I thought it was about 36 ha ha)
Hope your scan went well this afternoon LJ0
