Congratulations Firey, glad all was well.

Good Luck for your scan Mrs TM, hope it all goes ok.

I rang the midwives today as I've not heard anything and have an appointment for booking in on Wednesday, so its a good job I did ring to check! Apparently they will sort my scan out then.

samtoby - I have a full bladder every hour and a half, even at night, and it takes an hour just to get to the hospital. I'll see if DH will get me a bottle of juice, which will really go through me quick! :D

  • Good luck mrs TM for tomorrow!

Well I've had spotting for 11 days now and was sick with worry this morning so I phoned the EPU - the midwife can see me on Thursday :( when I was bleeding in my first pregnancy at six weeks they put me in or a scan straight away, but I guess they can only do that if they have space.
I have my booking in on Wednesday, so I'll see what te midwife says there. My scan is on Christmas Eve, and I was so looking forward to that present, but now I'm just scared of what ongoing to see.

  • Evening everybody, hope you dont mind me joining this thread? Ive read the last few pages and good luck to everyone who has a scan coming up :)

Ive just found out im expecting again and am about 7 /8 weeks now and not so worried about getting to the 12 week mark, more bothered about telling my boss. The thing me and my hubby was trying for a baby for over 4 years, had one failed ivf attempt went on holiday to get over it and came back pregnant, which was the biggest shock of our lives, our beautiful baby boy is now 6 1/2 months and im due to go back to work in jan but will need to tell my boss that im due in july so will need another 9 months off work, lol. You could say babies are a bit like buses in my household, you wait ages for one to come along and then they all come at once, i just hope im not expecting twins, ha ha :)
  • Good luck Mrs TM hope everything goes ok. You will have to let me know what there like up the hospital, hope there lovely.

    Glad everything went well fiery.

I phoned doctors today and have a midwifery appointment next Wednesday. Is this what they call booking appointment?
  • Congratulations firey!

Good luck tomorrow mrs TM. Hope you don't get too uncomfortable needing a wee.

Hi Disney, yep, if that's your first midwife appointment it should be the booking one. I had to take a wee sample & notes on husbands blood type, family history etc.

Hi clairebear, welcome to the thread! Congratulations! Wow that's lovely. Your boss will be fine - he has to be! ;)

Adrenaline, I'm sorry to hear you are spotting. I hope all is ok x

  • Thanks Robot.

Did other people take their partners to their booking appointment. I didn't plan to go with mine but now thinking my husband should be there?

my OH came to mine cos it was the first one and he was excited but he didn't need to really, he was a bit of a spare part poor thing hehe. in the notes there is a part where they ask you about your OH family history but my midwife got me to fill half my notes out at home anyway so he didn't even need to be there to answer that one.
