This is a good article. The actual website is also full of lots of info

The link I have attached states pregnancy sickness is counted separate from normal sickness. So therefore shouldn't be used as a trigger.
Maybe direct your boss to the link!Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."Official DFW Nerd 1365

Hope you sort it fireyfirenze, I've been off sick twice in the past month, and they can't put it towards disciplinary, but they are now referring me to occupational health x
12+1... scan in 37 hours!!!!!0 -
Firey I think that would not be legal for them to send you that letter. She needs to read the policy before sending out stuff not the other way around - I'd get in first and tell them tomorrow to ensure it's not on your record.
Pregnancy related sickness can not get you in trouble & is not allowed to be counted in any way or have any disciplinary action.
I luckily had 4 weeks off in the summer as holiday, but I then had 2 week off as I was vomiting still.
I then left work early once as I was puking.
Then the other week I had 3 days off cos of bleeding, then the following week I had 4 day off.
I don't worry about my employer frankly as it's not like I'm doing it on purpose, or being a wimp it's just how it's been. they've actually been really great but if they were like yours I'd tell them where to stick it! (Politely with a note about the law!)

Sorry for being absent. I am still shattered. But I have shelves in the under stairs cupboard now! :j so exciting! And I'm slowly putting all of husbands booze out of sight in there too. Double win!

Have any of you ladies downloaded any pregnancy apps? I have BabyBump and it says baby is the size of a lime today (11 weeks) Hope you are all well.
Husband and I have been together 12 years... I'm expecting many people to say "oh finally!"fireyfirenze wrote: »my nausea has all but gone (fingers crossed) but I am finding myself really picky with food, anybody else? like if somebody asked me what I want for tea I just can't pick anything cos nothing appeals!
Same here with nothing appealing. I'm loosing weight!Yeah I got those too & a dishwasher tablet which is actually handy as were currently running out! That's a shame you didn't get hats or Muslins though!
I got my second pack from Asda as Boots had run out, and got the towel and muslins. And the dishwasher tab with voucher... Which reminds me we need a new dishwasher.
Firey - yup I agree that sounds illegal. Sorry they are being horrid.
Aquamarine - sorry to hear you've had bleeding. I'm glad bubs is happy in there though. Interesting what your scan person said about only 1/2 the womb being used... Might explain the spotting I had.
*hugs* to everyone ESP those sick, grotty or worrying. Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -

Hi Lovely Ladies,
Not much to report here, Feel ok, a bit queasy and quite tired but ok! I also have massive boobies!
I'm just waiting to here from the midwife for my first appointment/scan. Had a Drs appointment last week and she dated me as 2/7/14 but its because my cycles are haywire! I ovulated on day 36 this month so I make my due date 22/07/14 so 7 +1 but I really need a dating scan!
I've added myself to the list I hope that's ok?

Good morning all.
Hope everyone is well. Managed a good nights sleep last night so I'm feeling nice and refreshed this morning.
firey, I hope you get your time off sorted. It doesn't seem right that they take it as normal sick leave.
Sunshine, fingers crossed for the scan.
Robots, hope you're feeling better now and that your scan letter turns up soon.
AFM, still no symptoms. Not really sure what to think.
Love to all. X0
