Hi All
.
Dustystar - very young babies are so portable, we went on holiday when my son was 6 weeks old and we had a great time, just had to be a bit more organised, but he basically ate and slept the whole time. I guess If you book to go when you are 36 weeks you have to be prepared to take the risk to not be able to go for whatever reason.
I am 11+3 today and counting down the days to feeling more human and not constantly sick (i hope). Told OH i'm going on strike soon and he can do it for a bit!!
That fills me with hope. Holiday is already booked! Going to cost £400 to change the flights alonefireyfirenze wrote: »oh sunshine we are close aren't weI was in bury today.
I'm in Middleton, :hello:love a trip to The Rock on a Saturday morning
So I should know this but how do you know how many weeks you are? My first date of last af was 8th Oct, but I know I conceived on 26th oct, so am I classed as 5 weeks today or 2+3? I'm guessing 5 weeks, which means I'm 12 weeks on 31st decreally hope I get a scan date before then

Oh man that sucks!!I feel like I'm turning into a bear! Think I might have to go get laser hair removal all over after the baby is born!!
Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

I can't really help on the how far gone you are thing dustystar02 cos I was different and I hadn't had periods in ages so they booked me in for an emergency scan and I had to wait for then to find out.
When I put 11+5 that usually means 11 weeks plus 5 days not 11 weeks plus 5 weeks....but I could be doing it completely wrong lol! If you are exactly 5 weeks today you would be 5 + 0 I think?
Think if you google due date calculator there are some online but you have to know the late of your last period and your cycle length? Although if you actually know the exact date you conceived you're probably one step ahead of that lol
On the holidays thing you have to do whatever you feel comfortable with I guess. I know if it was me, I wouldn't want to travel at 36 weeks even if the airline let me fly. If something (god forbid) went wrong I wouldn't know what to do if I was in a foreign country. I'm in a similar position, my friends are getting married in June and the hen do is about 5 weeks before I'm due, I haven't told her yet but I won't be going because it's in Poland and there's no way I would want to travel, pregnant, without my OH, on a boozy hen do at 35 ish weeks pregnant!!
Your trip might be slightly different to that (!!!) but I would still think very carefully about it before you decide for sure to change/cancel/leave it as it is. I would be very reluctant to have to pay £400 to change flights so I feel your pain! Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

you can work it out by either first day of last AF + normal cycle length or by ovulation date.
I'm 5+6 today, LMP was 02nd Oct on 28 day cycle, I ovulated on 15th Oct so I conceived on 16th Oct and I'm due on 9th July. Hope that helps!0 -
I thought I had already added myself to the list, but I hadn't. Scan tomorrow, when I will be exactly 11 weeks

Thanks mysecretalias - my AFs are a bir random too, can be anything from 31 to 35 days in length. I guess my scan will give me the exact date but obviously the offical date matters re the holiday. I thyink we have to postpone it and go with the baby - at least i can have a cheeky drink then too :beer:AquamarineMonkey wrote: »http://www.pregnology.com/due-date.php

thanks for the link - i tried it with the date of my last AF and got due date of 18th July and then tried it again with my ov date and got 10th July haha! Non the wiser - I'm going with 5+1 today.
did you guys go to the docs when you found out? I rang my docs yesterday but they said to just call in and they'll give me a list of midwives in the area and then I just call them. Sounds very simple!0 -
dustystar - my drs just put me in contact with midwife, don't think most Drs want to see you with pregnancy related things! I booked in about 7 weeks - but all depends on policy in your area...
Feeling so much better today after a good nights sleep -cant believe Im nearly at 12 weeks ! Thinking Im going to tell my boss tomorrow as I want time off for scan next week.....don't want anyone else knowing though, feels a bit wrong when my parents and parents in law don't know! (plus my children don't know they are having a brother/sister!)0 -

Unless you're breastfeeding of course
OH came home from work yesterday grinning like a cheshire cat because his team had sold a certain number of books so they all got a bottle of expensive champagne to take home.
The smile was soon wiped off his face when I took said bottle of champagne off of him and announced it was just a shame it wouldn't be opened for another year and a half when I will have finished breastfeeding....:rotfl:
YAY more southerners....ok I don't feel so lonely anymore!:T
mrshappy that's great news re: your scan! Good luck for tomorrow!!Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T
