Is anyone else slowly but surely losing their mind?? Yesterday I put lemonade in the washing machine instead of liquid and now I've just got home from work and went to put the kettle on for my hot water bottle so I filled the ELECTRIC kettle and popped it on the hob to heat up!
I'm going mad!! I blame the baby!:D0 -
Sunshine - I start CBT at the start of december, I'm on med for moderately severe depression so hope I can learn things that'll mean I can lower my dosage. I hope it goes well for you.
- Also, funnily enough I've done more cross stitch since finding out! I think it's that I'm often too tired to think or move but can sometimes stitch
- and no, I'd be livid at that interference.... And provably will be! My mum is very difficult and his mum is very kind... Together they are a nightmare!AquamarineMonkey wrote: »http://www.pregnology.com/due-date.php
you can work it out by either first day of last AF + normal cycle length or by ovulation date.
I'm 5+6 today, LMP was 02nd Oct on 28 day cycle, I ovulated on 15th Oct so I conceived on 16th Oct and I'm due on 9th July. Hope that helps!
As for me, it was my last day at work today (redundancy). I managed to wangle a hand to the car with my journals & luckily was given flowers and chocolates not wine!

Good luck with the scan tomorrow mrshappy!
dusty the simple solution to the works do is to say you're driving, even if you get public transport in you could say you'll be driving later on. Unless you can't drive/don't have a car. I'm going to drive to all my social engagements where I don't want people to know just yet.
cllola I'd take the old wives tale about bad sickness meaning girls with a pinch of salt. I had horrendous morning sickness with DS1 from 8-16 weeks, not even the medication could shift it, the doctor told me I'd probably be having a girl. You can imagine our surprise when at the 20 week scan the sonographer announced it was a boy. I made her check again!
sunshine I'm quite outspoken so if MIL attempted to pick the moses basket or crib etc I'd quite simply tell her that whilst you don't mind her buying it if that's what she wants to do, she shouldn't make any decisions without consulting you first and if she does then she better keep the receipt because if you don't want that one it's going back. OHs mum wanted to buy us the pram and travel system with DS1. She sent a link of the one she wanted to buy, I couldn't think how to politely phrase that there was no way I was having that one, so using my expletives I explained my opinion to OH and said he could phrase it how he liked to his mum so long as he got the point across that I wasn't having that one. I got him to send back a link to one I liked and she bought that one and everyone was happy.
claretsgirl this is my 2nd. Can't wait for DS1 to have a little brother or sister. It will probably be my last assuming all goes well, so I'm going to try and enjoy this pregnancy without whinging the whole way through like I did with DS1. I will still probably moan a bit though!
AFM, nothing much to report, boobs keep feeling really full, like they're going to burst and they hate the cold. The sickness is still staying away. I'm still getting breathless when carrying DS1 when he's asleep. I'm 6 weeks today, it's going quite quickly!0 -

Sorry to hear about your job, will you be looking for another one or are you going to wait until after baby is born?0 -
Lol yeah I had awful sickness with my DS too but I've been told a couple of times that specifically evening sickness would indicate a girl...I take them all with a pinch of salt to be honest. Let's face it you have a 50% chance of being right!

Hi,
I have just done a couple of pregnancy tests today and both are positive however I have been getting period pain for the last couple of days which is making me doubt things. I havent got a doctors appointment til next week but not sure if pain is still to be expected? Thanks0 -
Blah, when am I going to learn that I cannot ignore this nausea and expect it to go away?! Had to get out of bed and go eat a quickly made bowl of instant mash. Worked better than I was expecting, but now I have to sit upright for a bit to avoid heartburn.
Welcome to any and all new people! Sorry I haven't been on today, have felt really ill most of the day.
8+4!0 -
Welcome busyladee. Some pain in pregnancy is normal, I have mild pains most days, however if it is accompanied by bleeding then get immediate medical attention to rule out ectopic pregnancy.
Mrs T M hope the nausea eases. Mines all but gone but I think that's because I'm constantly eating, I'm sure it will come back with a vengance in a couple of weeks time. I remember weeks 8-16 being the worst for morning sickness. Although in my case it was 24/7 sickness.
cllola that's interesting about evening sickness indicating a girl, I'm not feeling too sick but if I feel a little bit it tends to be overnight/first thing in morning - that said they are the times I have gone longest without food so that could be the cause.0 -
Hi busyladee and congrats
. Cramps are normal in early pregnancy I've been having them too. If they are just cramp like twinges then all should be fine but if they're really bad might be worth checking in with your doc? He might be able to offer some baby friendly painkillers? And two positive tests sounds like there's a baby there to me

Aquamarine monkey how old is your DS? Mine will be 3y4m when this one arrives, a nice age gap I think
i do drive which is a Great excuse, but this specific awards doo one is over in Leeds so we're staying in a hotel. Luckily cos we're working til 10pm I can just say I'm really tired and head back while they all go off partying and hopefully they won't get too suspicious. Really hope I'm not showing by then cos the dress I've bought, and shown to all my work colleagues is really tight!0
