A very tentative first post on here. I got my BFP yesterday, and another this morning, so i guess it really is happening ! Not much in terms of symptoms for now, just lots of CM (tmi sorry) ! I know some of you from the TTC thread, looking forward to sharing this journey with you
Pomme0 -
Welcome Pomme
Congratulations.
How pregnant do you think you are? Good to see people joining as a few are due to move onto the next board shortly! x0 -
Welcome PommeVerte!
I have spent about 3 hours on 500 words on my essay , I dread when I have to write anything really long!
Feel as sick as a dog but *trying* to ignore that fact.
Love the fact there are lots of newbies coming - keep it up ladies.
Mrs_T_M - I hope to buy something very soon.
Lara44 - I hope to literally fall in a heap on foam obviously for safety, to reach the end of this stage and safe delivery onto the next one.

Might be tmi: Uggggg, took a nap earlier and have went from feeling fine to icky. Nausea is definitely here, as is some constipation. I have shredded wheat (cherry flavour), but I don't feel like eating. Plus, pooing makes me feel worse with the nausea for some reason....
For something good, I'm 7 weeks today!0 -
fireyfirenze hope the time passes quickly for you until your first midwife appointment.
Glad you've found something to help with your morning sickness!
Are you still going to have an early scan Mrs T M or are you waiting for the 12 week scan now?
samtoby- good luck for your scan on Monday. I hope you get your essay finished soon.
sophiasmum- hope you're OK after your fall.
Hope the nausea doesn't distract you from your uni work to much Lara.
Hi Pommevert - I think we got our BFP on the same day!
I've booked a doctors appointment for Wednesday night and I'll be 5 weeks then - not quite sure if they have to refer me to the midwives or not for my first appointment (it's all part of the same practice). There's a couple of other things non-pregnancy related that I need to discuss too so it won't be a wasted appointment if it's turns out that I contact the midwives directly myself.
I'm not feeling as nauseous today as I did yesterday, I could barely concentrate at work due to feeling sick, but I think some of it could have been my excitement over the BFP. I find I feel OK if I'm eating or have recently eaten but start to feel sick if I've gone a while without eating. Been and bought some ginger nuts today - not that they were much use last time but you never know, hopefully this pregnancy will be different to the last!0 -

I'm going to try and get an early one, but I can't ask the midwife about it until the 11th of this month (booking in appt).
Poor DH is trying to take care of me and has put on the Princess Bride, one of my favourites and is making pizza to try and entice me to eat. I'm definitely not hungry, but I will try to eat a bit, for him if nothing else.
The nausea was nil this morning, but before bed last night (went to sleep at 7:30 and slept on and off until 10:30 this morning!) I opened and broke apart a nutra-grain soft bar and had a piece every other time I went to the toilet. Toilet trips at night have went down to every hour and a half instead of every hour, but it's still annoying!0 -
Congrats Pommeverte and Aquamarine on joining us!
Well, a reassurance scan was worth EVERY penny! I feel so much happier now, seriously beforehand I was having diarrhoea from the stress thinking we were going to be told the pregnancy wasn't viable or something... We were in there about 15 minutes, she confirmed the baby is growing in the right place and that there is only one! She said it was hard to tell at the minute but my dates seem about right, the computer put my EDD as 20th June rather than the 16th but I'll wait until my 12 week scan before changing it here or anything.
Then, best of all, we got to see the heartbeat!! There was a big plasma screen in front of me, and no matter how much she zoomed out you could see the heartbeat flickering away! I'd have paid five times as much for that, it was just magical.
Sat here after going out for a celebratory meal with OH looking at my two little pics, that resemble tiny beans, but it's our baby!!0 -
Your DH sounds lovely Mrs T M.
I'm the opposite of you at the moment, I can't stop eating, everytime I feel nauseous I want to eat to make it go away - no doubt that will change in the next few weeks. It's carbs/savoury food I'm wanting to eat all the time, usually it's chocolate, but I'm not so much fussed about eating chocolate at the moment.
Great news that your reassurance scan went well sunshine. Bet you can't wait for your 12 week scan now!0 -
I know exactly what you mean sunshine ! Seeing the heartbeat settled me tburs (until I fell) so glad your scan went well x
Aquamarine monkey - im loving the carbs! Toast and plain crisps are my friends. ..in fact I bought some aldi ready salted prine type crisps today for bonfire night (prefer them to proper pringles) and im going to break them open when watching x factor tonight!0 -
Was able to finally eat my pizza. DH always makes homemade pizzas on Saturday. Was watching the movie and my stomach started growling. Had nausea and tummy growling at the same time for a bit, which was really weird. Nausea is at bay again! Yay!0
