Catlover bex - when I was aprox 5-6 weeks I wrote a similar post to yourself and I called them twinges on one side. Didn't like it! But must be perfectly normal x

Sophiasmum I'm sure everything will be ok and your body probably took most of the brunt with your fall - can you call your doctors for some reassurance x
Marywooyeah that sounds a flipping shambles - but I'm sure you're glad you got to have it eventually. Congrats!
Congrats also Marie-20!!! I'm sure they will be able to sort the cyst - it's a good thing that they know about it now so will be able to monitor.
Sunshine81 good luck for your scan today! Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

I had a really strange night yesterday, it started at lunchtime at work I went to get some bigger bras (due to having grown already) and whilst I was out started to get REALLY dizzy and faint. So I cut my lunch short and went back to work. By the time I ended up leaving at 3 I could barely drive home coherently (and probably shouldn't have to be honest).
Anyways by about 6pm when my boyfriend came home from work I was so faint and dizzy that I could only lie in bed in the dark otherwise everything started spinning and whenever I got up I felt as though it as going to fall over. My boyfriend was supposed to go out last night but he stayed in to look after me instead and I spent the whole evening in bed gripping hold of him practically in tears because I felt so strange.
This morning it seems to have subsided. But the whole thing was very odd and not very pleasant tbh. My boyfriend was googling last night and he said don't worry it seems as though dizzyness in pregnancy is normal but to that extreme? I don't know.
Maybe I should have called the midwife. I will do so if it happens again. I'm hoping it's just a combination of having thrown up yesterday, worrying about Tuesdays scan, and being generally tired that did it.
If anyone else has had similar do feel free to reassure meOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Thanks Mysecretalias - I have got a lovely bruise and feel a bit stiff this am but haven't had any bleeding or anything so am going to presume we're ok. Ive thrown the offending slippers (that made me fall through lack of grip!) in the bin and am going to try to remember to take care and not do everything so fast!!
Sunshine81 hope your scan goes well - report in0 -
Not had that Mysecretalias - does not sound nice. Ive had extreme fatigue but not dizziness with it. Def mention on Tues. xx Theres always something to worry about!0

Mysecretalias - what you are describing sounds spot on to symptoms I had when I had labrynthitis (spelling?!) a few years ago. It's effectively an ear problem causing dizziness, they just gave me betahistamines to relieve the dizziness symptoms. It was not pleasant but once I knew what the cause was I calmed down a lot because it is very scary/disorientating to feel like that and not know why. Alternatively it sounds like the kind of thing that blood pressure could cause maybe? Anyway I would defo see midwife or doctor if it happens again - if only to put your mind at rest. X
Sophiasmum - glad you are feeling ok after your fall. X
Sunshine - good luck for your scan today X0 -
My secret alias I had a weird problem with my ear a while back and it made me really dizzy and I threw up, and had a weird blocked feeling & a noise in my ear for weeks. I don't actually know what it was and ended up diagnosing myself via google and doing these weird head exercises which either stopped it or was a coincidence. The dr couldn't find an infection but said it might have gone. I think I had fluid or something trapped. I still get problems with that ear now, popping and the odd noise.
So I agree with bex it could be an ear problem and not necessarily pregnancy related so I'd go to the drs just to rule it out incase you need any medication. I got some tablets for anti dizziness I doubt you could take them in pregnancy but if you have an infection they might be able to give you something for that.0 -
Hello ladies, I'm joining you from the TTC thread.
I got a TLP on Halloween, then a BFP yesterday morning.
Please can I be added to the lists, or do I just add myself on?

I'm 4+3 today and very excited!0
