I like mince pies. I don't like mince pies actually I love them. They seem to have a positive effect on my sickness.

Welcome Pomme Vert and Aquamarine
Yay for scan sunshine, seeing that wee flicker is brilliant.
I have been reading and nodding along, did a post earlier then lost it.
Today I made a start on Christmas shopping, we are cutting back this year, so most of it is done-in saying that I bought myself perfume and a gorgeous Pilgrim watch, will give the watch to my mum to give me. We have all our birthdays in December (mine, hubbys and the teenager) as well as our wedding anniversary, so hubby and I have put a tenner cap on each occasion for each other. I was very MSE and used clubcard points for the teenagers main birthday and Christmas pressies-I want to spoil him a wee bit as this will be his last as an only child-he has had 17 years of it though!
After all the shopping I needed a 3 hour powernap and could go back to bed just now.0 -

I'm actually starting to feel a bit more 'normal' now. Just eaten a full roast dinner with loads of roast potatoes and the nausea seems to have gone.
Got my feet up watching X Factor now. We're going away for a few days tomorrow but I'm going to try and keep up with the thread on my phone when I can.
One thing I've noticed is I'm getting very tired very easily at the moment. I'm struggling to keep my eyes open. I'm glad I've got a few days off work next week otherwise I think it would be a case of get up go to work then come home and get straight in bed.
When is everybody planning on telling work the happy news? They have to allow you paid time off for pregnancy related appointments so I'm wondering if I should tell them before my booking in appointment so I don't have to make the time back up. I've used up all my annual leave now.0 -
Hii
hope nobody minds me posting here! I've been a lurker on this thread for about a month since finding out i was pregnant with my first baby, and just looking for a little bit of advice from people who aren't google! Haha
Anyway, i dated myself about 10 weeks pregnant from my last period, but i couldn't wait for my 12 week scan as I've been so paranoid there's something not right in there! Terrified of something going wrong as I'm sure most women are in these early stages. So i booked myself in for a scan privately, which i had today. Nurse told me not to expect much due to it being early days, but there was my little bean wriggling and kicking away, even gave us a little wave! And the nurse measured the baby at 10.1cm and dated "about 10weeks, give or take a few days"
Here's the problem... According to EVERYTHING iv read, 10.1cm measures about 15/16 weeks?! I'm now so confused! Is it possible she's dated me wrong and I'm actually further along than we thought, or do i just have a really big baby? Haha!
Any help or advice/experience would be fab, and sorry for such a long first post!

I only told my boss this week just gone because she has now gone on holiday. I would have left it otherwise.
I guess it depends on your job mine is quite flexiable where I know other ladies do not have flexiable jobs. xx3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Thinking again it could be inches? A baby at just gone 10 weeks is just over an inch?3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Google a scan picture at 10 weeks and at 15 through images, there is a major difference between how clear it is.
Might help? Don't know what else to suggest.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:
