Brilliant Lara! I had a good feeling about you.
Bex I think I congratulated you on the other thread but even if I did, congratulations again!! Xx0 -
I'm beginning to wonder if I need to go dairy free. I'd been toying with the idea before I got pregnant, but I've linked a few meals/snacks I had with dairy to feeling pretty bloated and bad lately. As long as I get my calcium from somewhere, I suppose I'll be ok. I'll probably give it a day or two, then drink a glass of milk and see if I feel bad from it or not. It may just be that the baby hates sweets! :rotfl:
Snacking on a bit of salt and pepper popcorn and it's really hitting the spot. I've asked DH to pick up some tomato soup and cheese after work tonight so that we can have tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Meant to have a chicken pot pie, but right now, I'm eating whatever I fancy instead.
I'm sure I've read or heard that you need to go dairy free for a week at first to get it all out of your system, might be wrong though. I'd hate to have to go dairy free, I love cheese too much!0 -
Great news Lara44! I am so pleased for you.
Mrs_T_M - I would not go Dairy Free now. I went dairy free and I was very tired and my toileting was all over the place. I don't think you need to add that to the symtoms. Of course, if its for you go for it. Just don't know if this is the time? I hate to sound like I am telling someone something but I would leave it for the moment.
Congratulations catloverbex! I think everyone worries about symtoms and them boom they have an influx of something. I had number 2 troubles first, then tiredness now all day sickness. But some lovely ladies who have graduated had nothing. LOL.3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

I know, but with the past few times I've had it, it's been a nearly instant reaction. Mainly yesterday with trying to eat a peanut butter bar (lots of butter), and today while eating a few bites of ice cream.
I adore milk, cheese, and cheese sauce (which are a few of the reasons I have enough 'body' for another person I think). Before I got pregnant, the milk and cheese here didn't bother me like it did back in the states. I keep buying organic milk when it's reduced and sticking it into the freezer. Just pulled our last one out to put in the fridge this morning, so I'll need to find more soon!
I will be eating at least one 'grilled' cheese sandwich tonight, so long as dh remembers cheese! A bit of butter in a frying pan, piece of bread in, cheese, then another piece of bread. Once the bread is nice and toasty, flip it with a bit more butter. Cook until golden brown and gooey! Absolutely divine dipped into tomato soup.0 -

No worries! I'll probably just keep eating it, albeit probably in smaller portions, and if it still seems to be a problem by the time my booking appointment is or when my first scan happens, I'll speak to the midwife about it.
I went gluten, dairy, nut, and egg free for 6 months in the states while they tried to figure out what the heck was wrong with me. It's horrid, but at least now I know that I do like coconut milk ice cream! The worst bit was the going out daily to gather eggs from our little hens and not being able to eat any of them.
Mom sometimes takes the phone outside and lets me 'talk' to the chickens. :rotfl: Did it yesterday, and she said 'they never come to me like that!' She also lets me 'talk' to the kitty, who of course talks back.0 -
I remember with my son about 4 years ago when i was several days overdue, the size of a house and thoroughly uncomfortable poeple kept asking me "have you not had the baby yet?" It was a red rag to a bull, i felt like saying "yes i have but i popped him back in for a little nap"
My mother promised me she'd never do that - having had both her own mother and mother-in-law on the blower daily when I was due (and I was a day short of 3 weeks late, too....) She said she felt like yelling that she thought someone would've mentioned it if she'd actually given birth!
I did enjoy going out on my due date, though, and answering "TODAY" whenever someone asked me when the baby was due. Worth it to see the universal panic, people couldn't wait to serve me and get me out of their shops before they had to act as midwife, I think!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

That sounds like quite a restricted diet!
My sister and Dad are both Coeliacs, and I know how annoying it is, how many things have gluten in that you wouldn't even think of until even a tiny speck of it can make you really ill. My mother's become a really good gluten-free cook, and my son enjoys making gingerbread biscuits and so forth that he can tell my sister, "they're good for you, Auntie Eleanor!"...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
