Hello all
Well after 14 natural cycles TTC, and the week before I was due to start acupuncture and have my first infertility hospital appointment I got my BFP!
Shocked is not the word and we're completely over the moon :j
I'm 4+4 today and my due date is 5th July (hubby's birthday!)
However, I'm really struggling at the moment with not worrying. I'm just so scared that something will go wrong. How do other people cope with this??
I don't really have any symptoms yet. Was faint/dizzy around conception time and have had sore boobs for the past week. Also a little tired, bloated and nauseous but nothing that feels like it couldn't be normal for me!
When did major symptoms kick in for everyone else?
Wishing everyone happy and healthy pregnancies!

Huge congrats catloverbex!!!
Thanks for the kind words ladies. It was so weird at the Drs, I don't even have a sore tummy, well I didn't until she poked me so hard across all my intestines, lol! I think she wanted to send us for a scan regardless. I wanted to wait as am desperately trying not to bond with this baby and if there is a heartbeat I know we'll be in bits. Equally, if there's no heartbeat we'll be so worried. Sorry for the rant! Xx:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
I've got everything crossed for good news Lara. I'd take any and all early scans they were offering.
Massive congratulations Catloverbex! :j

Big gentle hugs to those suffering with the sickiness. I found sucking on something minty like polos helped with the taste and sicky feeling but then everyone is different (also helps feel a bit better about not being able to brush teeth properly)
I'm chewing really strong peppermint gum in between meals, and it seems to help a bit. It at least gets my mind off of it.catloverbex wrote: »Hello all

WOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! :j
I had sore boobs from about 8dpo and still have them now. 'Morning' (ha!) sickness just started a few days ago, and I'm 6+4.
Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones that won't have any of the bad symptoms! If you are though, I admit, I may be a bit jealous.0 -

That was one thing that irked me about visiting the gp to be checked. The hard poking! I mean, I know I have a layer of blubber, but seriously, ouchie!0 -
Congratulations Catloverbex on your BFP. I wouldn't worry about symptoms. All pregnancies are different and you still have lots of time to develop them. Personally I started getting symptoms at 6 weeks-ish but I haven't had any actual sickness only a nauseous feeling and even that has gone now.
AFM I am getting very excited about going on holiday on Friday, even if it does mean I have to wait an extra week for my 12 week scan. Although, part of me is glad I don't have it next week as it means I have an extra week of not knowing if anything is wrong. I am just so nervous about it.0 -
CONGRATS catloverbex - great to see you over here. I've had mad panicking days where i've had no symptoms at all, and then days when I've been sick, exhausted etc. I'm learning to try and be a bit calmer about it all now and not worry so much!
Lara - i'd take the early scan personally - it's not going to alter anything but may give you some comfort for a while. fingers crossed for you.
Told my boss today and that seemed to go well x.0 -
Thanks all
I'm sure I'll be regretting wishing for more symptoms if I get bad morning sickness. My mum was hospitalised during her pregnancy with me and my sister (we're twins) as she was so poorly.

I'm beginning to wonder if I need to go dairy free. I'd been toying with the idea before I got pregnant, but I've linked a few meals/snacks I had with dairy to feeling pretty bloated and bad lately. As long as I get my calcium from somewhere, I suppose I'll be ok. I'll probably give it a day or two, then drink a glass of milk and see if I feel bad from it or not. It may just be that the baby hates sweets! :rotfl:
Snacking on a bit of salt and pepper popcorn and it's really hitting the spot. I've asked DH to pick up some tomato soup and cheese after work tonight so that we can have tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Meant to have a chicken pot pie, but right now, I'm eating whatever I fancy instead.0 -
Yay, one tiny baby in the right place, with a heartbeat! Good news for today at least x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0
