Hi and welcome cllola
And neverdespair yes 8 would be easier than 18 months. I laughed at your broken leg/sprained ankle comment :-)
We thought long and hard about having another as I was so ill but every pregnancy is different so maybe the sickness will only be short termTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."Official DFW Nerd 1365

Well, the nausea seems to have tapered off (thank goodness!). I have been able to wash most of the dishes and I've made chocolate peanut butter squares, which my husband has lovingly nicknamed 'chocolate crack' because they are quite addictive!0

Hi all!
Mrs_t_m so glad to hear everything is ok. Fingers are crossed for you and everyone else having worries.
For those who have been talking about your OH coming to the booking in appointment, mine didn't come with me because it was the same week as my early dating scan so it would have meant him taking two days off in a week so he didn't. My friend came with me as well who had just had her baby at the same hospital 7 months previously and it was really helpful because she knew just what questions to ask.
So I would say if your OH wants to come then let him, but it's not really needed. I was in there for 3 hours!!
I've been back to the doctors this morning to get more cyclizine. Just got to the point where the sickness was too much to handle again. Hoping they won't take longer than 2 days to kick in like the first course I took did. I am in bed today but really hoping to be back at work tomorrow. Makes it difficult as we live with OH's parents at the moment, and I feel like they are judging me every time I am sick from work which makes me a bit stressed but I try not to let it bother me - they are lovely and so supportive but thy are very much 'get on with it' type of people and I think they reckon I should be working through all of this sickness though they haven't said it, I just get that impression

Just eaten 5 packets of salt and vinegar crisps
Welcome cllola. I also find my symptoms vary greatly, so for example, at the moment, feeling tired but nothing else, but the middle of last week was really nauseous..0 -

Ha! That's the first thing that started to tip off DH. I normally despise salt and vinegar crisps, but even before I did a hpt, I ate 4 packets in a row! :rotfl:0 -
Mmmmmmm crisps
Cant get enough of salty/savoury food, but that hasnt changed with pregnancy, I've always been like that :rotfl:
Im over 10 weeks now, cant believe Im in double figures already. Although time seems to be dragging now
Still no symptoms at all, if it wasnt for the fact im not having periods Id never know I was pregnant
Getting worried that I'll get to the scan and they'll say the baby hasnt grown since the 6 week early scan I had0 -
Well, the baby here doesn't like sweets. Just had one of the chocolate peanut butter bars and now my stomach is churning! Might try 1/2 of one later on to see if it was truly the chocolate peanut butter bar or if it was the amount I ate (I've been snacking too). Tempted to try for a nap before DH gets off work.
Also, today is the 3 year anniversary of when we lost my dad. I'm making a special dinner tonight in his honour, but I'm still going to need snuggles from DH tonight.0 -

In my first pregnancy, I dragged my sorry butt to work all the time, would be sick in the car sick when I got there etc and to be honest I got no thanks and if i was off had more work to come back to. So what I would say and i don't advocate slacking but rest where you can as they say it helps with the sicknessTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. I found if I went to work, I felt sick and miserable, and if I stayed at home, I felt sick, miserable and wasn't earning any money, either. So I went to work, mostly!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
