I found the hospital's number in my notes and rang at 8.45am. They said my GP needs to refer me to EPAC but if he does so I could be seen today. Rang the GP surgery to be told no appointments today, so she is going to ask a Dr to phone me and see if he can just refer without seeing me.

I wasn't given the opportunity of an early scan this time because 'I'd ONLY had 2 mcs so far'!! Wish I'd pushed for one now so at least I'd've had an idea now if there'd been a heartbeat Xx

Claire - could you not get an early scan on the NHS cos of your history? They gave me one at 8 weeks.

They told me last year I could, but then a friend who has had 2 mcs at the same hospital was told she couldn't! I was going to ask but then because of the timings of my work & the week I wanted a scan the only way to ensure I got it on the day I wanted was to go private. So was more for convenience really.

Just checked PLMBL, The other midwives contact details are in the section of my folder called 'care pathways' on the first page of the section. On left, about halfway down page is 'Named midwife' info, to the right of this is 'midwife team'. It's the midwife team tel no's you can try. She also told me that if I couldn't get through then next step is to call the labour ward. The tel no is on front cover of my folder. Don't know if your folder at all resembles mine.

PLMBL, if it's an emergency, and you can't get to contact your GP, is it worth trying A&E? Never done it myself but I heard that that's the next step. It really does sound important, maybe the receptionists at your doc can advise further if you explain?

Dr rang me back and agreed to refer me on. She then called the hospital who can't see me until Friday morning!! I asked what I'm supposed to do from now until then and she just said take it easy although no evidence to suggest that will change the outcome, and if bleeding gets heavy or I have pain to go to A&E. Great.

Would it be wrong to lie - go to A&E and say you're having pain too? I know I would be tempted to do that. It's awful to expect you to just wait until Friday

Take it easy today and yes if it were me I'd be heading to a&e.
that's just not good enough that they cant see you until Friday.

Must admit it's tempting faithhope, but I also don't want to tempt fate either if you see what I mean. I kinda think I might know one way or the other by Friday anyway as I will either bleed again or not. Very frustrating though because I don't want to be negative if all ok, or have false hope if not. Am I talking in riddles? Sorry, I feel like I'm going round in circles .
