Thanks everyone. I was interested to see our ages. No one under 25 yet then - but people have not all answered I guess xx

    I'm 29 :)

I agree going on a Holiday or wanting to find out earlier are good reasons for early scans.

    I'm 26 :)

I had a scan to primarily check amount of babies although it had reassured me as we saw the heartbeat. Having another in a week as I don't want to spend my summer holidays whittling.

    I'm 38 and this is my first.:D

I found my early scans reassuring and I appreciate that not everyone gets them. It has been lovely to see the development and keep checking the heart is still beating away. Especially since I hardly had any symptoms over the last 12 weeks. Still don't feel pregnant, can't wait to feel it moving and kicking:j

Claire - I am so happy for you. I am sure you have lots of stalkers and well wishers keeping their fingers crossed for you this time.

  • I'm 30 and this is my first. Will be 31 when it's born if all goes well. None of our friendship group have children yet-in fact nobody even near to thinking of it yet. Maybe our friendship group are more career focused and therefore quite late developers!!

Kynthia-if it makes you feel reassured at all I have very few symptoms apart from tiredness but am often tired anyway so I couldn't definitely attribute this to pregnancy. Boobs are slightly sore to touch but not ridiculously so.

    Congratulations Claire & other newbies.

I stay up too late so tiredness is normal for me. All I have for sure is bad cramps and slightly tender boobs. It does help, thank you, however like for all of us only a positive scan after the risky time is over will really settle things.

By the way I'm now 35 and will be the same age at the birth if this pregnancy goes to plan. I ovulated 2 days after my birthday. :)
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!
