Good Luck Fran! :-)
Hi everyone else, hope everyone & their beans are well, - even if some of them are making us feel terrible! At least they're making their presence known, so I guess we should be grateful for the reassurance! :-)
AFM, +1 Breakfast, -1 Breakfast, as has becoming usual. At least I managed to eat something this morning. Hoping it's a good sign as had a bad feeling when I woke up this morning, fingers crossed it's just nerves about the scan on Monday.
Whoever asked about telling ppl, we told in-laws the day after we found out ( and after the second test ), as we live next door & share a garden. This is gong to make me sound like an old soak, but seriously, they always offer us a drink if they see us in an evening, & F-i-l, does not stop asking until you say yes, so it would have been pretty obvious quite quickly, hence our decision to tell them. Then called my parents soon after, to keep it equal. It became obvious to my extended family a few weeks later when I visited for a week & had to run for it a few times! I also had a hen-do a few weeks later, that included a jacuzzi & possibly jet-skiing as well as a few drinkies, so I took some non-alcoholic fizz with me, to join in on the toasts, & told that friend as soon as I got there, to get it out of the way. 2 other close friends that I have seen know, but feeling quite guilty as I haven't told my closest 2 friends yet, as they're miles away & haven't seen them. Really meant to call them last night, must do it this evening as I'd hate for family to start congratulating us publicly (online) after Monday, (OH's Sis/niece might) before they know.0 -
Morning ladies,
Not been on much as nothing really to tell! Just plodding along waiting for 12 weeks! 4 weeks to go now as I too am 8 weeks today.
Two more girls at work now know, I sit in between them and they guessed yesterday as I am completely off tea (we have at least 5 cups a day in our office!) always off to the toilet and everyday for about 2 weeks I am 'knackered' when I get into work. Suppose I didn't hide my symptoms very well!!
Didn't sleep well last night was far too hot then DH was up at 5am for work. Looking forward to my lie in tomorrow before we head for a weekend break in London. We booked a Thames rib ride months ago and I can no longer go on it cos of the baby, little bit gutted but would rather be pregnant. Hubby will just have to go on his own.
Enjoy the sunshine x xProud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!0 -
Good luck Fran, I hope the scan goes well.
I know I must be annoying everyone now but I'm just so upset as I'm almost sure everything isn't alright. I only had 3 days of excessive tiredness and that stopped, I'm not crying at adverts, I'm not sleeping more, I've had no nausea, my gums are fine, no strange taste in my mouth, nothing! I just have cramps and slightly sore boobs yet I'm 7 weeks tomorrow. I've talked to my OH a bit but I don't want to upset him. However I just feel pure dread and I'm not sure how long I can live with this. I'm seeing my GP on Monday and wonder if I can convince her to send me for a scan at 8 weeks?Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
Hope it goes well today Fran!
Great news about exchanging contracts HungryKitty! :T
Hope you have a lovely break away MrsBunny, shame about having to miss out on the Thames Rib, you shall have to enjoy watching from the sidelines whilst enjoying an ice cream in the sun!
As for telling people, we told our parents the week after we found out, siblings the week after that and our closest friends at ~7/8 weeks. People may or may no have guessed at work (my manager knows as I thought I should tell her early on) but no-one's said anything.
Scan is getting ever closer! Just want it over now so I can relax a little (before starting to worry about the 20 week scan!)
ETA: Big hugs Kynthia. Try not to worry, 7 weeks is still pretty early on for lots of symptoms to settle in and some come and go. I'm not having any nausea any more. I'm trying to convince myself that I'm just lucky rather than it being a bad sign. My all means try to push for an early scan if you're really worried though, 4 weeks is a long time to spend in limbo.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Good luck Fran!
Kynthia, at 7 weeks I thought I was going to take after my Mum nd escape nausea. .. a week and a half later I've just thrown up on a train to London!0 -

I don't do symptoms either.. the 1 time I did have awful symptoms was the one MMC I have had.. I have a few days where I feel quite rough, usually at about 9 weeks then sometimes a few more days about 11 weeks.
The only symptoms I usually get are sore boobs (though I didn't even have this with this one) and cramps.
My daughter was bragging to friends how she had no symptoms at all and if she hadn't tested or missed a period she wouldn't know she was pg... then she hit 10 weeks and threw up every single thing she ate for the next 7 months!!!
I don't do the excessive crying thing until about midway.. and then only for a few days usually.

Good luck with the scan today Fran!
Kynthia I still don't have any symptoms apart from the sore gums thing. Even my bbs are okay now I have changed my bra. I'm 7 weeks on Saturday. Don't forget the biggest symptom is not getting a period! I spoke with my MIL about it who's a retired midwife and she was very reassuring.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Hi everyone, I'm tentatively coming on here as Ive had 5 bfps but AF due tomorrow/Friday so still a bit scared. Plus as I had a mmc at 12 weeks last year so for now Im just happy with the positive tests.
I've got the burping, bubbles in my tummy & waking up several times a night starting already though! Then today I ate rich tea biscuits for breakfast as I felt sick but think that was more ibs and lack of sleep related. Last time I managed until 6 weeks until the throwing up started so I'm hoping I can hold off for at least one week!
I'm 3+ 6 x0 -
What great news claire, congratulations, here's hoping for a very sticky bean! xx0

Good morning everyone.
Good luck on the scans I have missed a page or so, must catch up!
I woke up this morning had a good look in the mirror and my girls are deffinatly looking 'larger'. Means a lot when I was only a A in the first place. Went up to a D last time......wouldn't mind that again but I did look a bit top heavy as I am only little. I already have a bit of a bump and clothes are so tight. Not sure if this is because I have had a baby before.
Claire - congrats - I was all not certain it could be right - but sending you all the luck.
Lara- How nice your Mum in law is a midwife!
I am now 11+0
11 days until scan day.....!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:
