I've taken today off sick, first day all school year, so why do I feel mega guilty?!?!

Thanks girls think the day caught up with I asleep on the sofa by 9:30 the more I think about it the more I get mad about how the first sonographer treated me plus whilst I was in the private room upset I could hear some the nurses gossiping about the fact I had treatment abroad but I'm going to try and forget all about it and focus on the positive.

So sorry about all the stress and worry you went through yesterday Magpie! glad everything looks OK though! Hope the reassurance scan on Monday is indeed very reassuring! That's pretty shoddy about the treatment, you might want to drop a line to the person in charge of the department to let them know that you weren't impressed? May make them think twice about how they treat the women in their care. Who cares if you had treatment abroad anyway?!

Hope you're OK Becca. I know what you mean about feeling guilty; when I took an afternoon off last week I felt terrible about it, like I should be sucking it up because I'm 'only' pregnant... but it made me feel so much better and was worth the guilt because I so needed the rest!

Magpie - That sounds a bit if an ordeal they put you through. Glad it was ok and that you're getting a scan.

I decided that I would try and get a scan for next week before I go on hols. Waiting for doc to call me today. Hopefully he will be able to get me a scan no probs. I will be 8 weeks then so should be pretty reassuring if its all ok.

That's it birdie I feel like its 'only' pregnancy. Also feel bad as I told them I had a bug don't think they believed me either.

I left a message for the midwife last week and have not heard a thing... Doesn't bode well!

Anybody else got really sore gums? They were terrible when I first found out I was PG. Just went to the dentist and got a big clean and a filling It's so weird the things that pregnancy hormones can cause.

I've had a really sore mouth for weeks Lara Using Corsodyl twice a day has helped a little. It really is strange what happens to you though, isn't it?!

Hello! Just hopping over from the 'big' thread. The reason your gums are more prone to bleeding when pregnant is just that they are extra sensitive to any little bit of plaque you might have in your mouth. So if they are spotless they wont bleed. Flossing is super important while pregnant. Birdie - be careful with the corsodyl it will stain your teeth a lovely brown colour after a while!

Nausea starting to kick in- surprised I havnt been sick as thats one of the 1st things I start doing when I'm poorly.
Quite teary-managed to bawl my eyes out at a Robinsons juice advert the other day where the dad is out playing with his son.
It might sound daft but the enormity of everything is hitting home- how much our lives are going to change. Quite scared at times.
Have my booking in with M/W next tuesday, wont really settle til 12 week scan. Like a few of you have said its reassurance that everything is ok in there.
