Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! Part 3

Squirrel I was 7 wks (according to ov) on my early scan - I could see the little baby head and body with a little tail and a little flickering heartbeat. They said on the scan I looked 6+2, but from the dates I was given at the 12 wk scan I was actually 7+1 at the early scan -hope that makes sense! Anyway, I posted the scan pic on here if you want to look at it? It was posted something like May 23rd.

I am still completely baffled as to the 3lb weight loss when the baby weighed more than that and before water and blood loss and placenta were taken into account!

The weights were done on the same electronic scales too so it wasn't even an indiscrepancy there either..

When it takes place ill be 6+5 (only 4+2 from ov day though). Will they actually be able to see anything! I'm worries that its too soon to tell what's going on!

Just heard about a colleagues wife whose baby stopped growing at 6 weeks but didn't find out til 12 week scan. Makes you absolutely paranoid, it's so sad.

when you say 4+2 from ov, do you mean you ovulated four weeks, two days ago? then you're 6+2ish, because they count from last lmp you're two weeks pregnant on the day you ovulate. It's all a bit technical at this stage anyway, it's only at 12 weeks you'll get your definite dates, and even then they might change by a few days
I was 7 weeks (5 weeks from ovulation) when i had my private scan and you could see the little long blob and its little heart fluttering away. which made me bawl my eyes out and now we call it flutter

The paranoia is why i had my private scan - i had very very light spotting at 10.5 weeks in my first pregnancy, scanned at EPU to be told baby stopped growing at 5.5 weeks, it was horrendous and has haunted me in this pregnancy, 6 days til i find out how flutter is for sure and i'm dreading it

This is basically what happened to me in Feb squ1rrel5. Not nice but I'm trying to be positive that this time round I'll see a healthy baby kicking away at my scan which I think will be probably be end of August.

Two weeks till midwife appointment and I'm going to hand in my urine sample asap. If it comes back all clear then I'll tell DH that bay 2 is on its way.

I'm worried about getting bad news at my scan as my brother and SIL had terrible news at their 12 week scan that the baby had a major defect and would not survive much longer. It has really put the fear of God in me and makes me think that if they went through that with their 1st pregnancy, why should I assume that it'll be plain sailing for me?

BUT... I'm trying to be positive and enjoy being pregnant whilst I have no reason to think otherwise.

I'm glad it's not just me having these worries! Sometimes I think I'm being overly sensitive but you hear so many stories!! I've started to become uber excited too though so just hope all is okay!

So hot and bothered and disapointed about my late scan. Thought it would be next week but to have to wait until the 30th seems so long. Just want this 12 week point because of all the bleeding etc. I might relax if I know its ok. When I spoke with the hospital I tried to get them to budge but no budging makes appointments. Hopefully well worth the wait xx
