Hi quick question if you found out the day after you had first consultation meeting for redundancy that you were pregnant would you tell current employer or not? Feel like crying today if honest as still have no idea if will be redeployed and a new employee will not really favour employing a pg lady. Sorry for the moan just need help.0

Happy 6 weeks Becca.
I've calmed myself down now, I just hate all this waiting!Going to sit it out until the 12 week scan since by the time I actually get referred and I'm given an appointment I'll have my proper appointment through and they'll probably get sniffy about me having an early scan all of a week before I'm due my 12 weeker! I'm sure everything will be just fine and I'm getting myself in a tizz about nothing.
Blondy, you don't have to mention the pregnancy to your employers for a few months yet (26 weeks?) so if you feel like it *may* be held against you then don't say anything. It's still such early days for you too that you're not being at all dishonest, just very cautious. Hugs for being in a rubbish situation.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Thanks Birdie. I mean a new company would not want to employ me, feel in such a difficult situ in regards to what to do, never thought I would have job issue once we got pregnant! Argh!0

Either way, current employer or new employer, you don't have to tell them; you're still so early on in the pregnancy you 'might not have even realised you were PG yet'!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Blondy - might be a good idea to tell your employer as they
could be less likely to let you go as you could claim discrimination. I got redundancy while on Mat leave and even tho my boss knew I wanted to go, the lawyers advising him were quite hesitant in case of it backfiring for them.0 -
Faithhope - I agree I have heard of people in this situation and it being like this.

Kynthia, I'm 5+2.
Got huge swollen and tender boobs, frequent peeing, cramps and terrible hunger all the time as well as tiredness and constipation.
No nausea yet though. Suppose our bodies all react differently.
