I've had a horrible day, boss went mental at me for something he hadn't checked. But then the chief exec went mad at him for half an hour so that made me feel a bit better, just want a big glass of wine now cream cake will have to substitute lol

Firefly how many weeks will you be? Jealous you're getting one quickly but I want DH there and it'd be tough for him to get time off at short notice, so next Sunday it'll have to be

I've got some of those belly bands for my work pants which were tight in the first place and I was getting uncomfy on the thirty mile drive home

Teamlowe - I know it's easy for me to say now, but waiting a bit longer will only make the experience better. Even a few days can make such a huge difference in what you can see Sunday is only 9 days! We can do a count down if you like xx

TL - Hugs for the crappy day. Amazingly talk of your cream cake didn't make my mouth water, I seem to have completely lost my taste for sweets.

As for scan, going by LMP I will be 6 weeks. Very excited.

Lily I hope so, to be fair I wanted to definitely make sure there should be a heartbeat so there's no doubt if things are ok

You wear them over your pants and it just looks like the bottom of a shirt but it keeps your pants up. Well comfy

And I'm very sorry for your loss of sweet tooth lol x

Teamlowe - dam that boss. I hate being shouted at mind you no one likes it I am sure!

Talking blood I can only have blood taken from my right arm. When I was in labour I had a nurse stab away at my left arm for ages and the result was a collapsed vein. I was told it will come back up but it hasn't after all this time. So I get nurses to use my hands as they have some good ones on the top.

Talking hands, I remembered the other day that my little boy Toby was born with only one crease on his left hand which was extreamly rare and usually a trate in Downs Syndrome so there was a lot of comotion when he was first born. I love the fact that that was decided at conception if that makes sence and it was all the cells etc that made that happen.

I know its a long way off but do you want to find out whether you are having girl/boy or will you wait until the birth?

Sam - I'm having a private scan at 15 weeks to find out the sex. We found out at 15 weeks with DS and at DD's 20 week scan.

I know some people like to wait but I am not one of them. I won't ever be able to have the 'normal' birth I am desperate for so finding out the sex is my little reward for that.

I admire Team Yellow people though. The thought of a suprise does sound lovely (in my head!)

So... I'm totally not trying to panic but I'm spotting. Fresh blood. What the hell am I supposed to do since the EPU is only open Mon-Fri?

Hello ladies, it's taken me a while to post here though I've been lurking a wee while! This is my second pregnancy, unfortunately my first one was a missed miscarriage found by a dating scan in October. I'm so happy to be pregnant again but have very strange feelings and a fair bit of fear. I think I'm around 7-8 weeks, saw GP yesterday she put me at 9 weeks but my cycles are always 5-6 weeks. Last time I was offered a 'reassurance scan' should I get pregnant again, so I didn't have to wait til the 12 week scan to know whether everything was ok. Now I'm not sure whether to book one as my 12 week scan is likely to be only a few weeks away.
Symptoms are a bit mixed, occasional nausea but no vomiting so far, indigestion and feeling bloated, and every now and then I feel exhausted. Am trying to take it easy though I commute to London from the suburbs so have a long working day. I have told my boss about the pregnancy (he knows about the miscarriage) so I have an excuse not to be 100% committed at work. Just desperate now to get to 12 weeks safely... X
