Hi Birdie, hugs, you must be feeling worried, but hopefully it's nothing to worry over. Spotting is common right? Take it easy today. Would nhs direct offer advice to reassure you?

Birdie if it gets heavy you should go to A&E.

Birdie - you are quite early arn't you? Fresh blood can be implantation but any worries about the amount and go to A+E like previous advice. Hugs though. Fresh blood is a frightener even a tiny bit. I had a sac of blood or something next to my previous pregnancy, I can not remember what it was but that was fresh blood then on my next scan it was gone. It was heavy but not clotty (TMI sorry)

I have been in cleaning mode today but I am going to stop now as I feel a bit tired. We have a meal tonight so I want to enjoy that and not be yawning at the table seens a bit rude if I do that with out people knowing why!

I am unsure if I want to find out. It seems too early to even think of it for me. But I am sure I will know later on.....my partner is now undecided.

    Enjoy your days x

    Thanks ladies. :)

Just spoken to the out of hours GP who said to keep an eye on it, it may just be a little implantation spotting (please please please) but it's too early to refer me for a scan so I just have to rest and see what happens. Think I'm just working myself up over it... trying to relax since there's nothing I can do about it either way! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Birdie - Take it easy and as MV says, if it gets heavy go to a&e.

Will be thinking of you. I know you will be worrying like crazy xx

Fran - No harm in asking for an early scan, particularly if your dates are off. Atleast then your 12 week scan will be at the right time :)

    Welcome btw!

Relaxing is so hard in the situation. I hope its implantation and your bean is making itself more comfortable xx

Hello ladies, it's taken me a while to post here though I've been lurking a wee while! This is my second pregnancy, unfortunately my first one was a missed miscarriage found by a dating scan in October. I'm so happy to be pregnant again but have very strange feelings and a fair bit of fear. I think I'm around 7-8 weeks, saw GP yesterday she put me at 9 weeks but my cycles are always 5-6 weeks. Last time I was offered a 'reassurance scan' should I get pregnant again, so I didn't have to wait til the 12 week scan to know whether everything was ok. Now I'm not sure whether to book one as my 12 week scan is likely to be only a few weeks away.
Symptoms are a bit mixed, occasional nausea but no vomiting so far, indigestion and feeling bloated, and every now and then I feel exhausted. Am trying to take it easy though I commute to London from the suburbs so have a long working day. I have told my boss about the pregnancy (he knows about the miscarriage) so I have an excuse not to be 100% committed at work. Just desperate now to get to 12 weeks safely... X

Welcome and as Lily said maybe ask for an early scan so your dates are right - I think they do early scans for this so at least you have a rough idea but the 12 week one will give a more accurate date I think. I am sure I have seen some peoples dates have gone forward or back at their 12 week scan. :):)

    Hi ladies,

Sort of lurking here now as got my BFP last week but was a shock as thought I had had a period.....

Birdie I had spotting last 2 days, was brown then a bit of fresh blood then back to brown, seems to have stopped now though thank god. I thought I was miscarrying but have had no pain etc so fingers crossed its all ok, did go doctors though there was nothing he could do....

I am going back to Doctors Monday AM though and he might be referring me to EPU, he told me that they can't see anything before six weeks and I am six weeks on Monday.

    Hope it settles down!
