Looking for some advice. My daughter told me on Tuesday that her period the previous week was odd and she did not need any sanitary protection. I said wonder if you are pregnant? So she did a test and it said yes 1-2 weeks. However on Wednesday she had some brown bleeding so did another test still positive. She is a bit of a worrier so went to minor injuries. They said test was negative and sent her home. She has continued to pass brown /black blood for 3 days on and off and last night it went a bit red and she had cramp. She did another test and it said negative.
Question is does she need to see a doctor or let matters take their course as it is so early?

Rose, you'd be better asking on the miscarriage thread, they'd have more idea I'm afraid.

Birdie, spotting can be normal, deep breaths. Hope everything's ok :)

Rose the negative test would suggest everything has come away which is a 'good' sign in the circumstances. your local early pregnancy unit would best placed to say whether she needs more investigation. I'm very sorry to hear of her (and your) loss, I hope she's doing ok x

Thanks everyone for the welcome. TeamLowe I was pleased to see you here as I recognised your name from the MC board, nice to chat under happier circumstances.
I think I am going to call the EPU at my hospital and see if we can book an early scan for reassurance. Though my GP was suggesting its just a case that you turn up and wait for a slot which sounds stressful. We don't want a scan this week though as its DH bday at the weekend - I know I sound overly pessimistic but I want him to have a happy birthday just in case there is bad news.
    Best wishes everyone x

Hi LilyMay1 - EDD according to GP's magic circle was 15th Jan (our wedding anniversary!) but I think its a week later as my cycles are usually 5 weeks. Don't have a scan date yet. Thanks!

    Really made me smile :)

Samtoby - My DH made me a garlic bread pizza last night (I have an allergy to tomato seeds so can't eat normal pizza)... couldn't help but think of you :rotfl:
